Collection of Teachings by Omniscient Pema Karpo PK181: The Profound Completion Stage Spike of the Four Session Tantra 17-218 The Profound Completion Stage Spike of the Four Session Tantra The Dharma that precedes all yogas. The Profound Completion Stage Spike of the Four Session Tantra The Dharma of the Victorious Ones, established by the faith of beings, The means to unite all practices into one. The feet of Marpa, are the gateway to it, I prostrate with my head a hundred times in reverence. However, all aggregates of conceptual thoughts, just as they are, become self-aware, the face of yoga's sky appears. I prostrate to that pure mind's form. Like the sun's light on the earth in the morning, completely pacifying all the ignorance of the heart. Profound instructions, whatever appears is pacified. Running in the sky desiring to compose a white lotus. On the glorious Ngok lineage's Nyagrodha tree, the well-spoken lotus flowers that first rely on it. The ripened, vast nectar fruits, fall into the unparalleled Drukpa's garden. Untouched by the beak of a crow, Unspoiled, not trampled by the unclean hooves of a donkey. 17-219 Held closely by the petals of heart-touching words, distributed to guests seeking enlightenment. Here, extracted from the Dharma-protecting Four Session Tantra, the quintessence of profound and vast essential instructions. It is the path to directly enter the state of Buddhahood, the key to unlock the five doors of ignorance. Here explaining the examination of knowable objects through pointing-out meditation. The Dharma that precedes all yogas, the main practice of the Four Sessions, and the subsequent order of the fire offering, in three parts. First: A mantra practitioner who has received empowerment and possesses vows, in a place pleasing to the mind, sits in a comfortable posture, in the vajra posture. Hands are crossed at the secret place, eyes fixed on the tip of the nose, chest open, spine straight. All phenomena are the nature of the four elements, and also just the light of one's own mind, that mind is free from all impurities, naturally clear light. Like a clean mirror, all phenomena are of equal nature without disparity, therefore it is a Mandala. As it is said, 'With wisdom, examine the knowable.' Then, whatever sudden conceptual thoughts arise, one should know their essence, 17-220 like snow falling into the ocean, all transforms into the nature of water. Such emptiness is like water, --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just as that (wisdom) washes away defilements like dirt, it is called 'cleansing water,' and it should be understood that its function is to examine beings.' Therefore, it is said. Focusing single-mindedly on its essence is the flower, its expansive manifestation is the incense, pacifying the darkness of ignorance and directly seeing the knowable as it is is the lamp, satisfying with the bliss of thoroughly disciplining body and mind is the torma or offering. Guarding the bound mind without alteration, pleasing the deities with that very Suchness, therefore it is offering and fire offering, and it should also be known that it is the bath that washes away delusion. That is, the meaning from 'previously with non-dual mind' to 'all forms will be destroyed.' All dharmas are combined with the essence of clear light nature, and beneath that, compassionately focus on all sentient beings. In an instant, on the lotus sun disc cushion, visualize Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: 吽). From that transformed Vajra, visualize Bhagavan (Possessed of Good Fortune) the Wisdom Sovereign Mother, as blue as lapis lazuli, with three faces, white on the right, red on the left, and blue in the center, four fangs tightly clenched, and three red, round eyes like a half-moon. The first two hands embrace the vajra and bell at the heart. The two right hands hold the kartrika and khatvanga. The two left hands hold the skull cup and sword, and under the raised white umbrella, she sits in the bodhisattva posture on a lotus sun disc cushion atop a lion. Adorned with all bone ornaments and jewels, possessing the splendor of marks and signs, and having the youth of sixteen beautiful maidens. Visualize her surrounded by a ring of blazing light. Or, from Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: 吽) and khatvanga, or in an instant, visualize a body as white as the essence of the moon, with one face and two hands, holding a skull cup and khatvanga, with a slightly wrathful expression, sitting on the moon in the bodhisattva posture. Whichever visualization, visualize red Kṣuṃ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) on the crown of the head, yellow Hūṃ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) in the eyes, blue Yuṃ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) in the ears and nose, white Suṃ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) on the uvula, Saṃrayuṃ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) in the throat, Haṃrayuṃ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) on the shoulders, Yaṃrayuṃ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) in the heart, and Kṣaṃrayuṃ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) in the navel. Meditate on the forms of these letters, whose essence is the eight goddesses. The main practice has four seats: the stupa, vase, and wisdom are the seats of others; the cow's hoof is the seat of the lord of means; the cow's udders are the seats of union; the flower of the heart-water tree is the seat of the secret of suchness. These are the four seats. The samadhi that prevents confusion during the day is the illusory body. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
