Collected Teachings of the Omniscient Pema Garpo, PK145, *The Great Illusion Tantra of Mahamaya* and the Mandala Ritual Arranged for Recitation 15-721 *The Great Illusion Tantra of Mahamaya* and the Mandala Ritual Arranged for Recitation Explanation of Preliminary Arrangement *The Great Illusion Tantra of Mahamaya* and the Mandala Ritual Arranged for Recitation Homage to the great mudra and the arising Great illusory Heruka. I will now write down the method of its practice According to the tradition of Kukkuripa. In a charnel ground or similar place, on a comfortable seat, arrange all the necessary implements for yoga, and contemplate as follows: At the heart of oneself, on a sun disc, is Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ). With its rays, Invite the mandala of Mahamaya into the sky in front, and offer with the offering goddesses arising from those rays. Oṃ Āḥ Vajra Arghaṃ Pratīccha Hūṃ Svāhā. Up to Śapta. 15-722 Oṃ Śrī Heruka Pañca Ḍākinī Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ. Thus, offer nectar. I take refuge in the Three Jewels. I confess all misdeeds individually. I rejoice in the virtue of beings. May I hold the enlightenment of the Buddhas in mind. I take refuge in the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha until enlightenment. In order to accomplish both my own and others' benefit, I generate the mind of enlightenment. Having generated the supreme mind of enlightenment, I invite all sentient beings as my guests. May I practice the supreme and desirable conduct of enlightenment. May I attain Buddhahood for the benefit of beings. Thus, perform the seven-branch practice. The field of merit dissolves into oneself. Oṃ Śūnyatā Jñāna Vajra Svabhāva Ātmako'haṃ. Everything becomes emptiness. From the state of emptiness, in the sky, on a sun disc, is Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ). Transforming from that, everything below is a variegated vajra ground, All sides are a vajra fence. Everything above is a vajra tent with a net of vajra arrows. Outside, surrounded by five-colored fire, inside is a blue Dharma origin. Inside that are the mandalas of wind, fire, water, and earth, along with Mount Meru, etc. As those dissolve, a square mansion with four doors and four steps, surrounded by eight great charnel grounds, complete with all characteristics, adorned with all ornaments, inside which are various lotuses, the directions blue, yellow, red, and green, the boundaries white, the center and directions on sun seats adorned with blue vajra garlands, a white bindu. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rays of light emanated from each pore. After accomplishing the two benefits, they gathered together, and from the bindus of all directions, they transformed into goddesses with the nature of the four immeasurables such as loving-kindness. They urged with songs, saying: 'Alas! Noble friend, Vajra Light, please open the lotus! Alala la ho! A dance that greatly rejoices in great bliss! A sun mandala that fully opens the lotus! A dance that greatly rejoices in great bliss!' The goddesses then dissolved back into bindus. Wishing to liberate all beings from samsara, with an illusion-like gaze, the bindu transformed into Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hūṃ), and from its complete transformation arose the Bhagavati Mahāmāyā, with a blue body and faces of blue-yellow-white-green. She has four hands, the two right hands holding a kapāla (skull cup) and an arrow, and the two left hands holding a khaṭvāṅga (staff) and a bow. The root hands embrace the consort Saṃbuddhakapālinī, who is similar to herself. She bares her fangs, has three eyes, is adorned with the five seals, and smeared with great ashes. She wears a crown of dry skulls and a necklace of wet skulls, her reddish-brown hair is raised upwards, and she wears human skin. She sits in the center of a garland of light in a half-lotus posture, her body, speech, and mind blessed, with the nature of space and the realm of dharma. On the eastern petal is Vajraḍākinī, blue, with faces of blue-yellow-white-green, four hands, the two right hands holding a vajra (thunderbolt) and a kapāla, and the two left hands holding a bell and a khaṭvāṅga, with the nature of earth and mirror-like wisdom. In the south is Ratnaḍākinī, yellow, with faces of yellow-blue-white-green, four hands, the two right hands holding a jewel banner and a triśūla (trident), and the two left hands holding a banner and the throat of a jackal, with the nature of water and equanimity. In the west is Padmaḍākinī, white, with faces of white-yellow-green, four hands, the two right hands holding a variegated lotus and an arrow, and the two left hands holding a kapāla and a bow, with the nature of fire and discriminating awareness. In the north is Karmaḍākinī, green, with faces of green-yellow-white-blue, four hands, the two right hands holding a sword and a ḍamaru (hand drum), and the two left hands holding a noose and a kapāla, with the nature of wind and accomplishing activities. All of them have three eyes, possess graceful postures and marks and signs, are naked, adorned with a crown of dry skulls and a necklace of wet skulls, decorated with the five seals, and reside in the center of a garland of light in a half-lotus posture. On the forehead is Oṃ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Devanagari: ओ, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, Literal meaning: Oṃ), on the throat is Āḥ (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Devanagari: आः, Romanized Sanskrit: āḥ, Literal meaning: Āḥ), in the two eyes is A (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: A), in the two ears is Khe (Tibetan: ཁེ, Devanagari: खे, Romanized Sanskrit: khe, Literal meaning: Khe), in the two nostrils is Ci (Tibetan: ཙི, Devanagari: चि, Romanized Sanskrit: ci, Literal meaning: Ci), in the heart --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
