Obtaining the embodiment of wisdom and means, the all-knowing one, like the eyes of a blooming lotus, is for the sake of instantly manifesting all the glorious magical displays of all the immeasurable embodiments. These statements will become manifest in the moment of realization. Third, summarizing the ultimate meaning: The two truths (Sanskrit: satya-dvaya) are non-dual, therefore cause and effect are also non-dual. Since cause and effect are non-dual, what can be obtained and what is to be obtained are also non-dual. Since the obtainer and what is to be obtained are non-dual, therefore the practitioner, the practice, and what is to be practiced are non-dual. Since these are non-dual, there is no difference between learning and completion. However, in specific circumstances, learning and teaching will still appear, and cause and effect will also arise. The supreme words of the Victorious One (Buddha), extremely profound, the meaning of which is properly explained. The wise who truly expound the meaning, the oral instructions of the wise, are the true and correct path, the essential treatise. The vast foundation of the treatise is the commentary, this commentary is the glory of benefit and happiness. It is spoken so that all beings may obtain all glories. The scholars and accomplished ones who work for the Buddha's teachings are scattered like birds in autumn. The ordained ones with clear wisdom wither like flowers struck by hail. The virtuous kings close like water lilies before the friend of the lotus (the sun). Those who act through non-merit flourish like the leaves of summer trees, my heart is saddened. Please, protectors, look upon us with kindness, and grant to others this essential path. May those with intelligence enter this path and traverse that sacred state! This was written at the request of the Shakya monk Chos-kyi mgon-pos by Mi-pham padma dkar-po, who holds the vows of reading and abandoning, also known as the Supreme of Men, at the great Dharma College of Glorious Trashi Thongmon (bkra shis mthong smon). May there be auspiciousness! To widely spread the Dharma, the benefactor who offered silver coins for each printed book is the Dharma King Sonam Gyaltsen (chos rgyal bsod nams rgyal mtshan). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
