'Is that so?' The moment you hear a sound, listen to it in a state of emptiness, so that clarity and emptiness arise simultaneously. This is the Samadhi of Speech Vajra. All remembered things are co-emergent wisdom, the mind of the Guru, the appearance of all forms. The moment it arises, you will clearly recognize it yourself, so that bliss and emptiness arise simultaneously. This is the Samadhi of Mind Vajra. In this way, you will understand that all phenomena of Samsara and Nirvana are the manifestations of the Guru's Body, Speech, and Mind. Whatever circumstances arise, understand that they are the display of blessings and compassion, so that you will realize the nature of the Guru's Three Bodies. Sixth, cultivate compassion: For sentient beings, Dharma, and non-object, engage in whatever suits your capacity. All sentient beings are parents, and all parents are kind. These kind parents wander in the three realms, roam in the six realms, and are tormented by the six sufferings, without any time for liberation. Thinking, 'How wonderful it would be if they could be free from these sufferings,' cultivate in this way. View all sentient beings as a mother views her only beloved child, and cultivate the Bodhicitta of exchanging self and others. Because oneself and all sentient beings do not want suffering and want happiness, oneself and all sentient beings are equal. Therefore, one should eliminate all the sufferings of others, just as one eliminates one's own suffering; one should accomplish all the benefits for others, just as one does for oneself, cultivate in this way. Then, cultivate 'seeing others as superior to oneself'. When one experiences illness or discomfort, make the vow: 'May all the sufferings of all sentient beings ripen on me, may all sentient beings have happiness.' Resolve to bear all the sufferings of sentient beings, without any aversion. When one obtains any happiness, do not keep it for oneself, but give it to all other sentient beings. This is the cultivation of relative Bodhicitta. Finally, by looking at the nature of suffering, when the object of suffering subsides and one abides in the original state, it is the cultivation of ultimate Bodhicitta. When practicing this method, one should enter like a swan in a lotus lake, giving all one's own goodness to others and taking all the sufferings of others upon oneself without hesitation. Seventh, cultivate the single practice: This is the meaning beyond action and thought. Do not defile it with the conceptual mind of fabricated phenomena. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Settle the mind naturally into its own nature, which is without contrived meditation or distraction. Because this is the actual path to enlightenment, it is called the 'single key point.' If one asks, 'Then, isn't the practice of the union of skillful means and wisdom necessary for enlightenment?', the answer is, 'Indeed, it is.' But here, because emptiness is not meditated upon, appearance is not abandoned. Therefore, not negating appearance is the aspect of skillful means; because things are not grasped as real, emptiness is not abandoned. Not abandoning emptiness is the aspect of wisdom. These two, like water poured into water, are practiced inseparably in essence, so it is called the union of skillful means and wisdom, without the fault of falling into one side or the other.' Therefore, all outwardly directed awareness is gathered into the power of one's own self-awareness, so it is called 'subjugating the appearance of others to one's own power.' Eighth, perfecting the practice of exertion: Whether walking, sitting, standing, or lying down, whenever thoughts arise, do not regard them as faults, nor try to abandon them. Because thoughts themselves are empty in nature, do not meditate on emptiness with the mind. Although thoughts appear to exist, because there is no entity to grasp, do not grasp them as real either. Instead, let them relax naturally in that very state of being fully present, without any manipulation. In this way, one is released from clinging to appearances and enters into the state of Mahamudra (Great Seal). If you grasp this key point, then walking, sitting, circumambulating, eating, gathering, sleeping, luminosity, whatever activity you do, will become Dharma. Ninth, establishing karmic connections: At all times and in all circumstances, all actions of body, speech, and mind should be done solely for the benefit of others, without any selfish intentions. All merit accumulated through body, possessions, and the three times should be given unreservedly to all sentient beings without attachment or clinging. If someone harms you, treat them with even greater compassion, and make the vow: 'May this person not suffer because of this harmful action. In all my lifetimes, I will help them, give them all benefit and happiness, and lead them to liberation and the path of omniscience.' Dedicate the root of virtue to them. If you have the power, it is said that even those who are difficult to tame can be guided through forceful means. Tenth, increasing practice: Even a single moment of good or bad thoughts should be practiced in emptiness. Afterwards, confess sins with the four powers, and dedicate the merit as a cause for accomplishing both aims (benefit of oneself and others). In this way, the body, speech, and mind will not remain in an ordinary state, the two obscurations will be purified, and the two accumulations will be perfected. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
