First, the difficulty of obtaining leisure and endowment is explained from four aspects: from the perspective of cause, from the perspective of essence, from the perspective of number, and from the perspective of analogy. First, the difficulty of obtaining it from the perspective of cause:", "The fruit of obtaining a human body comes from the cause of upholding moral discipline. Moral discipline is the mind that abandons the ten non-virtuous actions along with their causes. Abandoning the mind is more difficult than obtaining. The Vinaya Sutra says: 'Upholding moral discipline is superior to generosity.' Therefore, those who can abandon evil deeds are very few, so obtaining the fruit of a human body is very difficult. As Je Tsongkhapa said: 'It is not easy to obtain a human body with leisure and endowment, and those who uphold moral discipline are even fewer.'", "The difficulty of obtaining it from the perspective of essence: It is very difficult to obtain a human body with eight leisures, because it is very easy to be born in the eight states without leisure. The eight states without leisure are: 'Hell beings, hungry ghosts, animals, barbarians, long-lived gods, wrong views, those without a Buddha, and the mute are the eight without leisure.'", "Hell beings, hungry ghosts, and animals are tormented by suffering; barbarians refer to Tajiks and others who are influenced by religious doctrines, and people in remote areas geographically. Although they appear as human beings, they are like animals and cannot distinguish between what should and should not be done; long-lived gods are addicted to pleasure; those with wrong views have distorted thoughts; in worlds without a Buddha, such as dark aeons and empty aeons, there is no teacher to appear; the mute are mentally incomplete and cannot distinguish between good and evil, so they have no opportunity to hear the Dharma.", "10-176", "It is very difficult to obtain a human body with ten endowments: 'Born in the central land, with complete faculties, with faith in the Dharma, with karma not reversed, not tending to the periphery, these five are one's own endowments.' Being born in the central land, geographically, refers to places such as Vajrasana in India; from the perspective of Dharma, it refers to where the teacher's pure teachings are. In addition, the following conditions must be met: being reborn as a human, having complete six senses, having faith in the Dharma, and having karma not reversed, that is, not having committed the five heinous crimes."

Not doing what is inappropriate, the Buddha appearing and teaching the Dharma, the Dharma remaining and people following it, having compassion for others, these five are the wealth of others. The Buddha appeared in the world. He taught the Dharma, the Dharma remained, people entered the Dharma, possessing the conducive conditions for practicing the Dharma. Like this, a human body possessing merits, having six merits such as being difficult to obtain, is precious because it is in accordance with the Dharma. All sentient beings have been one's own mother, and the number of times each one has been a mother, as stated by Master Nagarjuna: 'The end of mothers is like a mustard seed, even if made into balls, it cannot fill the earth.' Although so many bodies have been obtained, obtaining a leisure and endowment human body is only this once. If ultimate benefit is not achieved this time, then how many more times will it take to obtain it? A leisure and endowment body is extremely difficult to obtain at those times. As stated in 'Entering the Bodhisattva's Way of Life': 'This leisure and endowment human body is extremely difficult to obtain, having obtained it, one can accomplish the benefit of beings, if one does not practice at this time, it will be difficult to obtain this perfection later.' Also stated: 'Relying on the boat of the human body, one can cross the great ocean of suffering, this boat is difficult to obtain later, fools, do not sleep at this time.' In terms of quantity, it is difficult to obtain because those who are reborn in the three lower realms are extremely numerous, while those who are reborn in the higher realms are few. Even among the higher realms, those who obtain a leisure and endowment human body are extremely few. As Jetsun said: 'It is said that a leisure and endowment human body is difficult to obtain, seeing someone like you, the saying of difficult to obtain is not established.' Just like treating a dog. For example, in a place the size of a palm, there are countless ants and other creatures, and each ant nest has countless ants. Know that the people in a valley do not have that many. As stated in the sutra: 'The land, stones, and valleys are all filled with animals, who can know the number of other lower realms?' In terms of metaphor, it is difficult to obtain like: 'A blind turtle meeting a wooden yoke.' As stated in the 'Entering the Womb Sutra': 'If one holds a needle eye upwards and scatters mustard seeds into the sky, there is a possibility that the mustard seeds will fall into the needle eye, but obtaining a human body is extremely difficult.' Therefore, having obtained such a rare and precious human body, if one does not practice the Dharma, one is deceiving oneself, so one must practice the Dharma from the depths of one's heart. That is to say. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
