At the time of explaining the Lamdre (Path and Result), it was composed by Sakya's Rigdzin (Vidyadhara) Ngawang Kunga. May this merit cause us, the teachers and disciples, To have long life and be free from illness at this time, and may all our wishes be fulfilled. May the teachings greatly increase, may the two benefits be perfected, And may we be born in Sukhavati (Pure Land of Bliss) in the future. This is the condensed meaning of the oral teachings of the previous masters, And it is also the root of spreading good explanations. This is a combination of condensed meaning and extensive explanation, This is an unprecedented and wonderful good explanation. Ema! Possessing the physical strength of great learning, Adorned with the claws of discriminating wisdom and the mane of merit, Such a mantra-holder, the king of beasts, Now dwells in the snowy mountains of glorious Sakya. From the gathering of all the fortunate ones who have accumulated the two accumulations, In the ocean of activities that increase the two accumulations, By this effort of accumulating the two accumulations together, May the two accumulations greatly increase and the two benefits be spontaneously accomplished. This was also done by Jamyang Sonam Wangpo, the King of Dharma of the three realms, And the son of the king, the hidden yogi, the mantra holder with the name Drakpa, And the dust of the feet of the all-pervading Lord of the Mandala, the great Vajradhara of Muspa, Sangye Gyaltsen, taken on the crown of the head by the Sakya Upasaka (lay practitioner) of glorious Sakya, the Mahayana yogi Ngawang Kunga Sonam Drakpa Gyaltsen Pal Sangpo. In the Wood Ox year, at the place blessed by the lineage of Yoga Empowerment, at the four-story Labrang (monastic residence) of glorious Sakya, seated on the lotus throne of the Lama (spiritual teacher), the Dharma King Phagpa Rinpoche (Noble Jewel), at the time of showering the rain of profound oral instructions of the Dharma upon the gathering of fortunate ones, it was quickly written for the benefit of oneself and others. The scribe was done by the one named Mangala. If there are any faults in this, may the Lamas and Dakinis (female embodiment of enlightened energy) forgive them, and may inconceivable benefits arise for the teachings and sentient beings. Sarva Mangalam! According to the wishes of Khenchen Apel Rinpoche, it was served by Guru. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
