Firstly, it identifies the system of cause and effect, illustrating how the three types of actions—virtuous, non-virtuous, and neutral—generate the three types of consequences—happiness, suffering, and neutral feelings. Regarding this, it is written: 'Whatever actions of body, speech, and mind are motivated by intention, the Buddha said are actions. They have three kinds of fruit.' 'Generating a pleasing result is virtuous action; producing the opposite result is non-virtuous action. Producing both pleasing and displeasing, presenting a neutral feeling, is unspecified action.' This is the content of the first part. Secondly, it identifies the ten non-virtuous actions, stating: 'Killing, stealing, sexual misconduct, lying, divisive speech, harsh speech, idle chatter, covetousness, harmful intent, and wrong views—these are the ten non-virtuous actions.' Thirdly, it explains the consequences of these non-virtuous actions. It is written: 'From the perspective of immediate and ripened effects, there are two types of experienced results: short life, many illnesses, mental suffering, depletion and decline of resources, displeasure of others, constant encounters with enemies, powerless speech, frequent deception by others, ignorance, constant hearing of bad names, constant mental distraction, hopes failing to bear fruit, much hatred, and constant failure to find happiness.' These are just small experiences; greater suffering will be experienced in the future. Fourthly, it explains which of the three poisons—greed, hatred, and delusion—these non-virtuous actions arise from, and how they lead to the three lower realms. It is written: 'Sins arising from hatred lead to hell; sins arising from desire lead to the realm of hungry ghosts; sins arising from delusion lead to the animal realm.' Fifthly, it explains that if the motivation of a person who has entered the Great Vehicle path is pure, even actions that appear to be non-virtuous can transform into virtuous actions. It is written: 'Killing one person for the benefit of many, because the motivation is not from afflictions and because it produces great benefit, is like a bad appearance, but it generates a pleasing result.' Sixthly, it identifies the ten virtuous actions, stating: 'The opposite of the ten non-virtuous actions are these ten paths of white actions.' Seventhly, it explains the results of the ten virtuous actions. It is written: 'From the perspective of immediate and ripened effects, there are two types of experienced results: long life, freedom from illness, mental happiness, increase of resources, wealth, pleasure of others, freedom from enemies, powerful speech, others accomplishing one's affairs, excellent wisdom, constant praise by others,' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Where does the mind find peace? Where hopes are fruitful and children abound? Where one constantly finds the path to happiness? Here, one experiences a small taste; in the future, one will experience it greatly. This is the meaning. Eighth, even if those ten virtues are slightly mixed with the three poisons, they can still generate the bodies of beings in the three realms of higher rebirth. The three poisons of mantra practitioners, if skillfully used, can be transformed into the cause of enlightenment. This explains this very point: One who is heavily influenced by ignorance is reborn as a human; one who is heavily influenced by hatred becomes an Asura; one who is heavily influenced by attachment goes to the realm of the gods; one who exhausts afflictions attains Nirvana; one who possesses skillful means becomes the cause of great enlightenment. This is the meaning. Ninth, explaining the way to practice virtue in all aspects: Undefiled by attachment, hatred, and ignorance, with a mind full of faith, love, compassion, and equanimity, and with the Bodhicitta (enlightenment mind), giving, keeping vows, patience, diligence, meditation, and wisdom, all these are well accomplished through the three doors (body, speech, and mind), this is the way to practice virtue in all aspects. This is the meaning. Tenth, explaining the common results of practicing virtue in all aspects: Wealth and the happiness of higher realms, beauty and the spontaneous accomplishment of all purposes, peace of mind and non-delusion, these are the fruits that ripen in this world. This is the meaning. Eleventh, explaining the uncommon results of practicing virtue in all aspects: Glory and fame, excellent marks and signs, and miraculous activities, meditative absorption, clairvoyance, and magical powers, fearlessness and perfect knowledge, the abundance of power, these are the ultimate fruits. This is the meaning. Twelfth, explaining the identification of impure giving and so on: Giving to sentient beings in places of slaughter, etc., because the motivation is not sincere and it is close to harming life, it is like an image of virtue, but it is the cause of suffering. This is the meaning. Thirteenth, explaining how the thoughts at the moment of death, whether virtuous or non-virtuous, act as the projecting and completing karma, leading to various results: Even if one constantly accumulates sinful deeds, if at the time of death one connects with virtuous thoughts, because the projecting karma is virtuous, one may be born in a happy realm, but the completing karma of sinful deeds will cause one to be afflicted with disease, poverty, etc., and constantly tormented by suffering. Even if one constantly accumulates virtuous deeds, at the time of death... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
