A Record of the Three-Step Practice of Hayagriva, Subduer of Pride, the Wish-Fulfilling King. A Record of the Three-Step Practice of Hayagriva, Subduer of Pride, the Wish-Fulfilling King. This is the treatise entitled "A Record of the Three-Step Practice of Hayagriva, Subduer of Pride, the Wish-Fulfilling King." Homage to the Lord of All, the Father of All Victorious Ones, Kunjang Padma Jungne, the Great Powerful Heruka, who liberates all the essence of existence into the primordial space through the illusory Vajra dance. Furthermore, regarding how to practice the Great Powerful Subduer of Pride sadhana: First, perform virtuous supportive actions such as making Tsa-Tsas, reciting scriptures, ransoming lives, releasing lives, giving generously, and so on, as much as possible. Also, ensure that reflections on the difficulty of finding leisure and opportunity, refuge, bodhicitta, and so on, are integrated into your mindstream. Then, beginning from the evening session, offer white Torma to the local deities, entrusting them with the task of preventing obstacles from arising. Offer Torma to the obstructing forces, and bind the protective wheel with a Vajra fence, tent, flames, and weapons. Do not dismantle it until the recitation and practice are completed, and at the beginning of each session, recite the words of severance from the action manual and make a reminder. Imagine the stacked white stones at the door as the Four Great Kings, offer Torma, entrust them with the task, and take it from any of the practice summaries. If it is a new place, it is necessary to perform the ground purification and other rituals as above, but here, based on the old tradition, the ground purification ritual is omitted. Then, in the place where you are practicing, under the cushion, write a right-turning Yungdrung symbol with rice or white earth. On top of that, place a seat facing you, and opposite it, on a black platform, dab spots of poison blood. On top of that, draw a blessed Mandala with lines and colors, such as the Dharmadhatu, crescent moon, eight spokes, Vajra fence, and fire mountain. Alternatively, on top of a platform with a cover, spread a painted cloth or a collection of fabrics, and in the center, place a Torma on a small table, with the main deity's image on top if possible. Erect a Lama stone and raise a red and black colored tent. Although the scriptures seem to indicate that one of the two, the offering Torma and the practice Torma, is sufficient, according to the current practice, there are also offering Tormas around the perimeter, as well as medicine, alcohol, incense, bath water, food, lamps, flowers, musical instruments, and so on, and the Tormas of the Kadam and Treasure lineage protectors.
