Homage to the All-Knowing One! Here, in this great aeon known as the Fortunate Aeon or the Aeon of Seeing a Thousand Lotuses, when the previous aeon was destroyed by water, the gods saw a thousand golden lotuses emerge from the ocean. Realizing this as an auspicious sign that a thousand perfect Buddhas would appear in this aeon, they proclaimed that this would be a fortunate aeon, hence it is known as the Fortunate Aeon, and it is also known as the Aeon of Seeing a Thousand Lotuses because they saw a thousand lotuses. This continent is called Jambudvipa. According to the Sutras, a Jambutriksha tree grows on the shore of Lake Manasarovar, and when the wind blows, it makes the sound \"Jambu, Jambu,\" hence it is known as Jambudvipa. According to the Tantras, there is also a Jambutriksha tree northeast of Oddiyana in the west, and the sound of the wind blowing through it gives rise to the name Jambudvipa. \"Lokadhatu of Endurance\" means that beings do not use it as one entity, but engage in various virtues and sins, and it is known as a world of mixed purity and impurity. The \"Land of Karma\" means that beings born in most other continents share similar characteristics of lifespan, merit, power, and glory. In our continent, beings are born due to various karmic causes, hence it is known as the Land of Karma. In this great world system, how will the thousand Buddhas of the Fortunate Aeon and two Bodhisattvas dry up the ocean of suffering of samsara, dispel the darkness of beings, and bring forth the precious teachings of the Buddha? This history is briefly divided into three stages. The first stage is: In the distant past, countless aeons ago, there was a great aeon called Holding Aeon. A great king named Wheel Holder ruled over the four continents. He had a thousand sons, including Not-Winking. His retinue of Brahmins was named Ocean Dust." } ] ============================================================

Pa. Eighty sons of noble lineage, with a thousand Brahmin disciples. Among them, the most excellent prince, the Brahmin Ocean Treasury, attained Buddhahood, becoming the Tathagata Jewel Treasury. Then, the Chakravartin King Holder of the Wheel, with his thousand sons, offered veneration to the Buddha and his retinue three times a month. After that, the father offered veneration for seven years. Holder of the Wheel, through listening to the Dharma and interpreting dreams, dreamt of killing fierce beasts like tigers, and ministers getting lost on the road in chariots. He told these to the Tathagata, who said: The king is attached to his kingdom, thus he wanders in samsara; the ministers will attain the fruits of Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, and most will be prophesied to Bodhi. Then, the Brahmin Great Dust of the Ocean said to King Holder of the Wheel: It is rare for a human to become a Buddha and to hear the Dharma, and even rarer to generate the supreme Bodhicitta. The king said he did not wish to become a Buddha, nor was he pleased to generate Bodhicitta. The Brahmin earnestly requested three times, and the king said if he possessed great perfect merit, then he would do it. After that, the Buddha Jewel Treasury, in a Samadhi arranged with mirrors, showed many excellent Buddha-fields. The king and his princes were moved by unwavering faith, and for seven years generated the supreme Bodhicitta. The king, in the Sukhavati realm, was prophesied to be Amitabha Buddha. His eldest son, Unblinking Eye, was prophesied to be the Buddha Glory Accumulation King. After that was shown Jewel Accumulation, then Buddha All-Seeing, the fourth was Buddha Samantabhadra, the fifth was Buddha Lotus Supreme. The sixth was the Buddha named自在王(藏文:དབང་བསྒྱུར་རྒྱལ་པོ།,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:,汉语字面意思:),the seventh was Dustless Fragrance Seeing自在王(藏文:རྡུལ་བྲལ་སྤོས་མཐོང་དབང་ཕྱུག་རྒྱལ།,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:,汉语字面意思:),the eighth was Wisdom Vajra Fully Raised. At this time, thousands of Buddhas were also prophesied. The ninth was the Perfect Buddha Akshobhya, the seventh was the Tathagata Golden Light Topknot. Thousands of Buddhas were prophesied in sequence. After that were eighty-four thousand minor kings, nine hundred and twenty million, and eighty sons of the ocean, and their one thousand Brahmin disciples.
