Everything is empty, without blood and pus. Straight, thin, clear, possessing these four characteristics. The central channel is as thick as an arrow shaft, the two side channels are as thick as onion stalks, and the other channels are visualized as slightly thinner than these. The method of purifying the winds is: from the three nostrils, left, right, and center, blow three times each with slow, forceful, and balanced breaths, for a total of nine times. Visualize the nature of the three poisons of anger, desire, and ignorance, in the forms of blue, red, and black, going outwards. Then, slowly inhale, filling the entire upper body up to the abdomen, and make it gentle. The method of purifying the bindu is: visualize the upper end of the central channel as an open-mouthed wide-mouthed bottle, with an appropriately sized opening blocked by a full moon, with the root embedded in the channel, its nature being bodhicitta, the white syllable ཧཾ་ (Tibetan: ཧཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: हं, Sanskrit Romanization: haṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum), the color of mercury, pointing downwards. At the lower end, at the junction of the three channels, a red sun disc, the size equal to the inside of the central channel, and on top of that, the nature of wisdom heat, the red syllable ཨ་ཤད་ (Tibetan: ཨ་ཤད་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अश, Sanskrit Romanization: aśa, Literal Chinese meaning: Asha), visualize both red and white as the nature of bliss-emptiness heat and having tactile sensation. The main practice with object of focus is: stabilize the above visualizations, and for the duration of seven breaths, from the nostrils through the path of the two side channels. Blow downwards, as before, towards the ཨ་ཤད་ (Tibetan: ཨ་ཤད་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अश, Sanskrit Romanization: aśa, Literal Chinese meaning: Asha) located in the lower end inside the central channel, making a "si-ri-ri" sound, the flame as small as the tip of a needle, accompanied by the sound of fire, emitting a red glow, and then maintain a flame about two finger-widths long. To release the heat, perform "Tor-kha". In the evening, for every seven breaths, the red flame blazes fiercely. Visualize the four chakras and all phenomena, both inside and outside the body, filled with heat. If mainly generating bliss, the flame burns, and from the syllable ཧཾ་ (Tibetan: ཧཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: हं, Sanskrit Romanization: haṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) at the crown of the head, it melts like ice into the light of the fire and drips down. Visualize sixteen drops of bodhicitta dripping down, with each four drops filling the inside of the chakras of the crown, throat, heart, and navel, making a "mer-mer", "shik-shik" sound. The number of breaths is the same as the above fire visualization. From the dripping from the crown, joy arises, then supreme joy, joy beyond joy, and innate joy, gradually increasing the bliss sevenfold, identifying the four joys of ascending and descending from the four chakras. Similarly, from the navel, the bodhicitta is gathered back into four drops, from the heart chakra to the throat chakra to the crown chakra, the sixteen drops gradually dissolve, making analogies, stabilizing the upper four joys, then gathering into the syllable ཧཾ་ (Tibetan: ཧཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: हं, Sanskrit Romanization: haṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum), and engaging in the chase game with the fire for a long time.

Recognize bliss, decide on clarity, cultivate non-conceptuality, and finally gather bliss and warmth separately into Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཾ,梵文天城体:हं,梵文罗马拟音:haṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) and A (藏文:ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:阿). Generally, a flame of about eight fingers' width burns at the navel center. From the letter Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཾ,梵文天城体:हं,梵文罗马拟音:haṃ,汉语字面意思:吽), a white bindu the size of a mustard seed arises, merges with the ḍummo (inner heat). With the sound of "tseg," bliss and warmth blaze intensely. From the letter Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཾ,梵文天城体:हं,梵文罗马拟音:haṃ,汉语字面意思:吽), the stream of bodhichitta, like a horse's tail, surges forth. Holding the mind in the indivisible bliss and emptiness is the essence of profound depth. The aimless practice is: at the end of the aimed ḍummo, do not focus on the channels, winds, body, etc. In the awareness of the non-duality of appearance and emptiness, in the moment of the dharmatā mahāmudrā, without distraction, without meditation, gently blow the wind, softly press and gently release, and abide in the uncorrected state for a long time. Thus, at appropriate times, extract the essence of bliss and warmth and practice it, so that all contaminated aggregates are naturally purified into the uncontaminated realm of dharmadhātu. In the central channel, in the pure land of the dharmadhātu free from elaboration, wind and awareness effortlessly accomplish the supreme vajra of perfect bodhi. There is no doubt about this. In the subsequent stages, to make the wind workable, perform the exercises: straighten the body and fill with air. Rotate the waist three times to the left and right to untie the knots of the navel channel. Similarly, twist the upper body to untie the knots of the heart. Rotate the neck, stretching and contracting to untie the knots of the throat. Rub, stir, and pat the head to untie the knots of the skull. Stretch, contract, and pat the limbs to untie the knots of all the minor channels. Performing the three small and large evacuations will make the subtle essences flow smoothly. Shaking and striking the three "Ha" breaths will dissolve all the faults of the wind. Each set of three "Ha" breaths is important at all times of holding the wind, and finally, make extensive dedication and aspiration. Nowadays, when Dharma is taken lightly, although this necessity is lacking, the faithful nun Nyamo Tsering repeatedly urged, so following the scriptures and oral tradition, Rigdzin Gyatso wrote this. May it be virtuous and auspicious!
