All phenomena are impermanent, without essence, The city of samsara is a place of suffering, Many bodies of flesh and blood webs have been taken, Entrusting hope in the Dharma of samsara is a mistake, Attachment and aversion, karmic results, are places of suffering, Walking on the dangerous path of birth, death, and bardo, Abandoning the compounded aggregates as a corpse, Turning the ripened downfall into wealth, Evil karma and imprints are driven by the wind, Heading to the three realms of the unfortunate lower realms, Accompanying the unknown messengers of Yama, One's own actions appear as illusions, The appearance of illusion is ignorance, Obscured by imprints, clinging, and attachment, Therefore, do not be distracted, do not be confused, With the power of recollection and thought, Devoutly take refuge in the deity and the Lama, Pray with fervent respect! This should be clearly recited three times. Then, holding the karma vase, wash the surface of the mirror, Hūṃ! This is the water of wisdom and compassion, It is the emanation body, the supreme of bodies, With the nectar water of compassion and wisdom, Purify your ripened imprints and sins, Purify all the sins and obscurations of the body, May you attain Buddhahood as an emanation body! From purifying all karmic obscurations, may I attain the perfect Sambhogakaya Buddhahood. Om Hum Tram Hrih Ah. From beginningless samsara, in all three times, all the sins and obscurations accumulated through the gate of speech, Sarva Shuddhe Shuddhe Svaha. Hum! This is the water of emptiness wisdom, the Dharmakaya, the king of Dharma. With the water of compassion and wisdom nectar, purify your ripened habitual tendencies and sins, and the sins and obscurations of the mind, may you attain Buddhahood in the Dharmakaya. Shuddhe Jñana Dhatu Ah. From beginningless samsara, in all three times, all the sins and obscurations accumulated through the gate of mind, Sarva Shuddhe Shuddhe Ye Svaha. Then, perform poison removal, taking clean sand. Hum! The three poisons of ignorance are the cause of samsara, the father of poison is the element of earth, the mother of poison is the element of water, the poison of poison is the element of wind, the self-nature of poison is the element of fire. May the sins and obscurations of the five poisons be absorbed into earth, water, fire, and wind. Om Ah Hum Hrih. Om Mani Padme Hum. Om Hum Tram Hrih Ah. Mum Lam Mam Pam Tam. From beginningless samsara, in all three times, all the sins, transgressions, habitual tendencies accumulated through the actions of the five poisons through the three gates of body, speech, and mind, Sarva Papam Dahana Shanting Kuru Ye Svaha. Thus saying, perform poison removal with sand alone or with the rubbing substances of the four elements. Then, place the nameplate of the deceased on top of the seed syllable of hell, mix a portion of the ransom offering cake and bless it. Hum! The offering cake endowed with the five desirable qualities, endowed with the glory of the nine necessities, is dedicated to purify the accumulated debts of hatred karma of this deceased body-exchanger, to repay blood feuds and debts. Nama Sarva Tathagata Avalokite. Om Sambhara Sambhara Hum. Thus saying, dedicate the offering cake. The Thubpa of Hell empowers, Hum! The deity who purifies the suffering of the hot and cold hells, the Great Compassionate Dharma King, Fire Water Black. By empowering the son of the deceased lineage, may he obtain the empowerment to cut off the birth gate of hell. Om Muni Tram Svaha. Om Daha Daha Sarva Naraka Hetu Hum Phat.
