Bardo Heart Instruction: Self-Liberation Through Illusion. Bardo Heart Instruction: Self-Liberation Through Illusion. From the Great Perfection Teachings, Three Roots Secret Heart Drop: Bardo Heart Instruction: Self-Liberation Through Illusion. In the authentic secret language: INA SADHA PRAVA SHATRA NAMA In Tibetan: Called Heart Instruction: Self-Liberation Through Illusion. Homage to the Three Roots, the deities of meaning. Yogis of the supreme essence, carried away by weak diligence and laziness, or when life is interrupted, and realization is not completed, when the bardo appearances arise, through the profound pith instructions of the instructions, the means to quickly attain Buddhahood, now I, Tso Gyal, instruct you. Practice it and write it down. Bury it as a treasure for the sake of future beings. May those with karmic connections use it. Samaya. Seal, seal, seal. Furthermore, for secret supreme yogis, those of little practice, or those with weak diligence, or those whose lives are interrupted, etc., this instruction for attaining Buddhahood in the bardo has four meanings: In the bardo of the birth place, cutting off the doubts of hearing and thinking, like the instruction of a merchant going to the Golden Isle; in the bardo of dying, giving clarity, like a king sending a decree; in the bardo of dharmata, recognizing the face, like a child entering its mother's lap; in the bardo of existence, continuing the karmic connection, like inserting a fox into a broken irrigation ditch. First, having become a merchant, undertaking and accomplishing many important tasks to overcome the outer and inner obstacles of traveling on the great ocean, repelling all unfavorable faults, like traveling without obstacles, having practiced the Dharma of the Great Vehicle well, then entering the profound instructions of the bardo. Among the three faculties of superior, middling, and inferior, the superior faculty is liberated like a snake knot thrown into the sky; the middling faculty is liberated like snow falling into the ocean; and the inferior faculty is liberated like ice melting into water. First, merely by giving the profound instruction, one is effortlessly self-liberated in the ground of primordial Kuntuzangpo. Second, by practicing the profound instruction, all the collections of afflictions are transformed into the same taste of dharmata and abide, self-liberated. Third, by practicing the instructions that have been introduced, one recognizes the illusion of the mind as one's own appearance and is self-liberated. Second,

The bardo of dying: When afflicted by the disease of death, like a beautiful woman looking in a mirror, her face is clearly revealed without obscuration, or like a king sending a decree, one does not forget out of fear of the law, so too, the instructions of the bardo are clear, and one does not forget out of fear of the suffering of samsara. Like the best of middling individuals seeing a beloved friend, the middling of middling individuals seeing their face clearly in a mirror, the lowest of middling individuals threading a needle. First, when the signs of death are complete, without attachment to this life or the delusion of clinging, if one keeps the meaning of the lama and the profound instructions clearly in mind, that is sufficient. Second, at the time of death, a lama or dharma friend who is loving and close, and who has no breach of samaya, should put their mouth to the ear and say: "Ema, son of noble family, do not be distracted or confused, listen to this clear reminder of the profound instructions. You are approaching the time of death, do not be attached to the appearances of this life. In the bardo of dharmata, the appearances of body and wisdom will arise, recognize them as your own appearances." Say this many times. If there is no time to give instructions and the breath has stopped, then put your mouth and nose to the mouth and nose of the deceased, and visualize your own breath in the form of Om (藏文:ཨཱོཾ,梵文天城体:ओम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡), Ah (藏文:ཨཱཿ,梵文天城体:आः,梵文罗马拟音:āḥ,汉语字面意思:啊), and Hum (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽), filling their belly, and utter "Ha," so that the eyes roll, and the instructions have been given. Third, one must meditate on the instructions of the bardo without a moment's distraction. At that time, earth dissolves into earth, the body becomes heavy and one cannot rise; water dissolves into water, saliva and mucus flow; fire dissolves into fire, the body's warmth gathers and the mouth and nose become dry; wind dissolves into wind, the eyes roll upwards, the breath comes in gasps, and the hands and feet flutter. At that time, the supporting wind flees, and the body cannot be supported; the buttocks sag and the limbs do not obey; speech becomes very difficult. The wind that increases radiance flees, and cotton-like smoke gathers around the body and mouth; one becomes thirsty and smells the odor of a corpse. The wind that separates essence and impurity flees, and one does not eat or drink, and the body's strength declines. The wind of fire's decline flees, and the body's warmth gradually gathers from the periphery to the center. The wind of karmic aeons flees, and consciousness becomes confused and agitated, and the blood of the small veins gathers in the life-force vein. At that time, outer appearances vanish, and the tongue
