Please lead all sentient beings of the six realms to the end of the sky. Please protect them. Please ripen them. Especially, please bless these books of mine as a place to be hidden as treasure for the benefit of sentient beings, and please make aspirations. After this request, the precious teacher Padmasambhava said: 'Son, son of the translator lineage, listen well. The lineage of all Buddhas is twofold: direct and definitive. The direct meaning is like the Jataka tales of our teacher and the biographies of the emanations who tame beings. The definitive meaning is like the teachings of the tantric scriptures of Samantabhadra. Our teacher, Padmasambhava, Buddha, Medicine King, etc., are not separate, but inseparable. Son of lineage, your aspirations and understanding are good. Burying the book as a treasure should also be done in the same way. This Sutra of the Seven Buddhas, and this offering ritual at the root of this Dharma, are excellent because of the great difference between Dharma and Vehicle, like Manjushri who became a youth from the lineage of the great Abbot Shantarakshita, and because now is the rising period of the age of strife. From now on, gradually the Buddha's teachings and the merit of sentient beings will decrease, until the end of time, the dregs of the age, when the Buddha's teachings are close to the remnants of the scriptures. Because the power of bad karma is strong, those in Tibet who hold the form of Dharma will mostly become chaotic and only engage in bad deeds. At that time, even if one performs the practice and worship of the deities of action, it will only accumulate defilements and become a cause for increasing sins, rather than perfecting the accumulation of merit. Why? Because many sutras and tantras say that even the slightest fault of thought is contrary to the path of Dharma. How much more so is it to accumulate merit by mixing with sin? It is difficult to purify obscurations. Especially, in the later part of the degenerate age, although one holds the form of Dharma, one's actions are contrary to the Dharma. Monks also store grain, cultivate fields, own cattle and livestock, accept the law, wear the hats and clothes of villagers, and carry weapons as ornaments. For the offerings of the Mahabodhi Three Jewels Temple, and the offerings of the Pratihara season, etc., they collect grain and
