Summary of Entering the Wise. Summary of Entering the Wise. Herein lies the Summary of Entering the Wise. Destroying the four maras, possessing six qualities, transcending limits, peaceful, gentle, compassionate, and glorious, after bowing to the youthful one, I will propagate the Dharma of the Summary of Entering the Wise. Where one should become wise, the ten places spoken of are: aggregates, elements, sense-fields, dependent origination, places and non-places, faculties, time, truths, vehicles, and conditioned and unconditioned phenomena, these are ten. Form, feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness, these are the five aggregates. The form aggregate is the five faculties, five objects, and the forms included in the Dharma-field. The five faculties of eye, ear, nose, tongue, and body, the five objects of form, sound, smell, taste, and touch. The classification of the object of the eye, the form, is: blue, yellow, white, red, the root colors, cloud, smoke, dust, mist, sunlight, shadow, light, darkness, the eight branches. Long, short, square, round, high, low, fine, coarse, correct, and incorrect shapes. Furthermore, good, bad, middling, etc., the internal classifications change in many ways. The internal classifications of sound are: produced by apprehension, produced by cause, unproduced, and the three produced by both. Expressing meaning to sentient beings, its opposite, and expressing meaning with both, worldly and supreme are the two names given, and furthermore, good, bad, and middling are the three, the internal classifications are immeasurable. Smell has pleasant, unpleasant, and equal, innate and combined, etc., are the divisions. Sweet, sour, salty, bitter, pungent, astringent, tastes are said to be six kinds. Furthermore, pleasing, displeasing, and middling are the three, etc., many classifications. Touch is cause and effect, two. Hard, wet, warm, moving are the cause-born touches.
