To deny direct perception in such a way and spread great lies is not beautiful even in the world, let alone for those who speak of reason. Therefore, one cannot speak like that. Merely this undeniable term of seeing and experiencing, if examined with the ultimate truth as taught in the Madhyamaka treatises, cannot be established, which is the same for other systems as well. If that is the case, then how can the experience of perceiving form be without conceptualization, according to you who say that all consciousnesses are conceptual? It will necessarily become conceptual. Secondly, refuting self-experience and refuting other-experience. Firstly, if the very perception of form experiences itself, then according to you, both of those are also conceptual. Since it is impossible to see two conceptualizations simultaneously, it is impossible to experience in that way. Secondly, simultaneous and non-simultaneous. Firstly, by showing that two conceptualizations cannot occur simultaneously, it is also shown that another consciousness simultaneous with the consciousness that perceives form does not experience it, because it is impossible for two conceptualizations to arise simultaneously in the mindstream of one person. Furthermore, even if we assume there is no conceptualization, if it is experienced by another consciousness, it will become infinite, which will be explained in detail below. Secondly, if the perception of form is neither experienced by itself nor by another consciousness simultaneous with it, but is merely a memory of the past, then it is unreasonable to say that one will later remember what one has not experienced. For how can memory arise for something that has never been experienced before, since there is nothing to remember? If one can remember without having experienced, then it would follow that one could remember everything. Then, how can one remember past Chakravartins and Buddhas, and so on? Such things are not called memory, but are called conceptualization of past objects. Such a thing also exists for future objects. Although sometimes all past conceptualizations are called memory, what is said here about one's own experience of memory is different, and it should be understood as merely applying a specific name to a general thing. Although there is no difference in that the object is past, there is a difference in that objects that one has previously experienced can now be remembered, while others cannot be remembered, which is proven by experience. What is there to argue about this?

Secondly, if there is no self-cognition, it is too extreme, namely: the way of understanding the two minds of oneself and others is the same; there is no basis for establishing the past meaning-wisdom. Firstly, if one does not personally experience one's own mind, then regarding the nature of one's own mind, such as grasping form, and the mind that completely determines whether it arises in one's own continuum or not, and the nature of the way of completely determining how such a mind arises in the continuum of others, there is no difference between being able to decide and not being able to decide, and it becomes the same, because even if it is one's own mind, if one has not personally experienced it, one cannot know what it is like, just as when observing the shape of one's own and others' minds, there is no difference between being able to decide and not being able to decide. Therefore, the Tathagata also said that others cannot grasp the continuum of others, but he did not say that one's own continuum cannot be grasped by oneself, which also shows that there is self-cognition. Secondly, it is divided into: refuting facts and others' answers. Firstly, if there is no self-cognition and the knowledge of simultaneous and non-simultaneous times cannot be established by the direct perception of others, then in one's own continuum, there is no inference that can establish the existence of the meaning-wisdom that arose and passed away earlier, because one has never seen such a meaning-wisdom in one's own continuum, so the reliable example of the same kind for establishing meaning-wisdom is completely lacking, and there is no reliable reason for establishing it, so how can it be established? Therefore, it cannot be established. Why is it said that the reason does not exist? Because the dharma, which is the basis for the establishment of pervasion, namely the subject of dharma meaning-wisdom, has never been measured by the direct perception of the mind that holds it, so it is not a subject of dharma, because the reason for establishment is established by relying on the connection, and if the place of connection has never been seen, then what is the reason for it cannot be known. Therefore, just as in the case of the measure of worldly conventions, the object blue, etc., is established by the direct perception of other consciousnesses and is indisputable, so the consciousness of the object-possessor is established by self-cognition, so there is no room for debate about the convention of experience, and if one says that the object-possessor is not established by measure, but the object is established by measure, it is like not wanting eyes but wanting to see blue. If one wants the object-possessor to be established by measure, then it must be established by either direct perception or inference, but the inference without direct perception as a premise
