At that time, someone recited verses to him. Once again, on the bank of the Ganges, he saw steam rising from a vessel of water, and the youth uttered verses. Another time, while bathing in the Ganges, he saw a wild duck perched upon a clump of stalks carried by the water, and he again recited a verse. Thereafter, the Great Physician played together with the children, and once the children gathered and appointed the Great Physician as king, who in turn appointed some as ministers, and thus they played together. At that time, an old Brahmin, together with his young wife, set out to another land. When the Brahmin went to collect firewood, a one-handed man approached the woman and said: “Beautiful one, your father has gone there.” The woman replied: “What? One-handed man.” He said: “That is your grandfather.” The woman replied: “What are you saying? One-handed man.” He said again: “That is your great-grandfather.” The woman replied: “He is not my father, nor grandfather, nor great-grandfather, but my husband.” Then the one-handed man laughed slightly and said: “Foolish woman, if you know shame, how can you say before others that this is my husband? In this world, have you ever seen a man so noble in form? Surely your beauty has been taken. Bring your husband here, let us go together. If your husband truly fights with me, then you may declare before all: ‘This is my husband.’” Thus the woman went away with the one-handed man. When the Brahmin, after gathering wood and bathing, returned and did not see her, he climbed to a high place and saw her walking with another man. He chased after them and grasped her with one hand. The one-handed man also seized her hand, each contending: “She is mine.” But the one-handed man, being stronger, dragged her away and seized her. The shepherds, seeing the Brahmin defeated, did not call him Brahmin, but said: “Go back!” At that time, the Great Physician was together with the children…

Near a certain monastery, when the King of Medicine heard the sound of "Do not make a Brahmin," the children said, "O King of Medicine, you claim to be kings, why do you not prevent a Brahmin from being called 'Do not make a Brahmin'?" So the King of Medicine sent people to bring the children over, and they brought all the children. The King of Medicine asked, "What is going on here?" The Brahmin said, "I am helpless and weak, and my wife has been stolen by this cunning and powerful woman." The cunning woman said, "He is lying, he is my husband." Even when asked the woman, she said, "This is my husband." She kept lying. Then the King of Medicine knew that the Brahmin was wronged, and thought, "I should judge them." So he asked, "You patient, where did you come from with this woman?" The cunning woman said, "From my father-in-law's house." The King of Medicine asked, "What did you eat and drink there?" She said, "Ate meat, oil cakes, and wine." The King of Medicine said, "If so, vomit it out and see if it is true or false." She put her finger in her mouth and vomited, but did not vomit out those foods. As before, he asked the Brahmin, who said, "Came from my father-in-law's house, where I ate tsampa and radish soup." He was made to vomit, and it was indeed so. The King of Medicine thought, "This cunning man has deceived a young woman and stolen the Brahmin's wife." So he beat the cunning man with sticks and fists, dug a pit that could only bury up to his neck, and wrote on his forehead with peacock bile: "Whoever steals a woman, the King of Medicine will punish him like this." Similarly, about five hundred people who stole children, cattle, clothes, and thread were caught, beaten with sticks and fists, and buried in a pit that could only bury up to their necks. Their names were written on their foreheads with peacock bile, and it was written, "Thieves will all be punished by the King of Medicine." Then the king saw with his own eyes that six ministers had encroached upon the country's land, and thought, "I will now go and see what the King of Medicine is doing." So he said to the ministers, "Let's go hunting."
