Although it has been abandoned, it is not that one cannot meditate on the guru as being inseparable from oneself, nor is it that one must necessarily meditate; merely remembering the Buddha alone accomplishes the purpose. In the case of naming, adding "guru teacher" is because he is the guru of the three realms, so it can also be a name of the Buddha, or it can be understood as symbolizing that the guru in whom one has faith is inseparable from oneself. However, when reciting the guru yoga of meditating on the root guru in the form of the Lord of Sages according to the system of the Unexcelled Secret Mantra, one should also do so, because the guru is the essence of the assembly of all Buddhas, so there is no contradiction in meditating on him in the form of any Buddha, and blessings will naturally arise accordingly to each person's faith, this is the nature of reality. Here it is said: Although I am endowed with all bonds, and am the worst among ordinary beings, all these well-spoken words of mine are based on the words of the Sugata, and merely hearing the name of the King of the Shakyas, one will not turn back from enlightenment. Because it is praised by the words of truth, those who enter this path are truly fortunate! For the special qualities of the ritual, which is the source of inconceivable great merit, wise people should know that it is the activity blessed by the Thus-Gone One. By the virtue of explaining this with pure intention, may all limitless beings correctly enter the Great Vehicle path, and may they attain the power of the all-knowing king! May all fears and declines in all realms of the world be completely pacified, and may the upholders of the teachings live long, may the teachings of study and practice flourish, and may all beings increase in happiness and well-being! This is the post-script to the Shakyamuni ritual composed by Mipham Jamyang Gyatso, may all be auspicious and perfect! ༈ ། Oṃ Svasti. (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་སྭཱ་སྟི།, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ svasti, Chinese literal meaning: Om, auspicious!) Universally pervasive, free from elaboration, self-arisen suchness, The wisdom of non-duality and unconditionedness with it, The lord of manifest four bodies spontaneously accomplished, I prostrate to the teacher who perfects the two purposes with wisdom and compassion. 1 The wisdom of realizing the true path of selflessness, Is pure and clear, the excellent antidote for abandoning the two obscurations, Free from attachment, cutting off conceptualization and dualistic grasping.
