Commentary on the Dohakosa Song by the Venerable Saraha, the Innate Vajra Sound. Commentary on the Dohakosa Song by the Venerable Saraha, the Innate Vajra Sound. This is the Commentary on the Dohakosa Song by the Venerable Saraha, the Innate Vajra Sound. Namo Guru Vajradharaye. Supreme, immutable, uncontaminated, great bliss. Luminous, self-existing, innate, coemergent. Unconquerable, skilled in measuring with the sound of Nada. May the feet of the accomplished master, the archer, protect us. Here, in explaining this Dohakosa Song by the Venerable Great Saraha, the common ancestor of the eighty accomplished ones of India, first, the meaning of the title is: In Indian language: Dohakosa Gita. In Tibetan: Dohakosa Song. Because it is a song that symbolizes the inexhaustible treasure of coemergent wisdom and qualities. The translator's homage is: The very nature of mind is coemergent wisdom. Without the edges of conceptualization, it is peaceful and becomes the glory of both samsara and nirvana. I pay homage to that which has become youthful through extraordinary meaning. This is what the translator has written. The actual text is: Those who are like poisonous snakes, the unfortunates, will surely laugh at other noble beings with the defilement of faults such as abandoning the profound Dharma. One should be afraid and abandon them at the mere sight. Moreover, in general, the non-Buddhist system believes that the teacher, called Sridharalacan, has been established as the basis of existence and liberation from the beginning, is eternal, and is a four-faced liberator. From the face of Brahma in front of him, he teaches the Dharma of the four Vedas in order to subdue the Brahman caste, to view the self as eternal, and to practice in accordance with the Vedas. From the face of Indra on the right side, he teaches the Dharma of viewing the self as the only one, and the practice of offering at the tip of a staff, etc., to subdue the royal caste. From the face of Isvara on the back side, he teaches the Dharma of viewing the self as independent, and the practice of wearing ashes and hanging hair, etc., to subdue the Vaisya caste. From the face of Visnu on the left side, he teaches the Dharma of viewing the self as pervasive like the sky, and the practice of nakedness, etc., to subdue the Sudra caste. From this, the non-Buddhist philosophers

Those. Those Brahmins whose nature is indestructible are those who say, "I offer with poetry," who affirm by protecting the government, who recite the four Vedas, who wash their bodies with earth and water, who dwell on kusha grass, who think to do the three doors with actions, who dwell in their homes and burn common and uncommon parts of their own bodies in the fire of sacrifice, who perform meaningless sacrifices that do not benefit liberation, hoping only that the smoke will harm their eyes. The heretical staff-bearers rely on one, two, or three staffs, considering it auspicious, that is, the form of the Great Lord Ishvara. They practice the solitary Father Hero, the dual Father and Mother, and the Principal Retinue of Three including the Son. Moreover, they practice the Father and Mother deities separately, and as taught by the swan, like a swan couple, they practice the Father and Mother deities together, and upon seeing signs of accomplishment, they leap onto their own bodies and abandon them, thinking they can be liberated, and so forth, with inferior asceticism. Not knowing the difference between Dharma virtue and non-Dharma non-virtue, they are like ordinary people, and those who think they can go to liberation through that path are straying into the false, wrong path. The ash-wearers smear their bodies with ash from burning corpses, etc. (Tibetan: ཨེ༷་རའི་, Sanskrit Devanagari: , Sanskrit Romanization: , Literal Chinese meaning: ), make a hair knot on their heads, that is, make long hair into a knot, dwell in their homes lighting oil lamps, draw mandalas of Vishnu and Ishvara, and in order to practice them, sit in the position of the powerful and ring bells. In order to empower others, they sit in the center of the mandala in the lotus position, close their eyes, and with the force of violently squeezing their breath, make the sound "Ahaṃ" (Tibetan: ཨ་ཧཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अहं, Sanskrit Romanization: Ahaṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: I) come from the slightly beating heart, let the disciples listen, and then whisper in their ears the sound "Ahaṃ" (Tibetan: ཨ་ཧཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अहं, Sanskrit Romanization: Ahaṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: I), using this to introduce themselves, and so forth, deceiving people in this way. That is, teaching others such a path of "khyo," which means without method, and "sgra," which means without wisdom, bestowing the powers of Ishvara, and receiving the offerings of the guru from the patrons, you are only falling into the lower realms in order to deceive others. The naked ones think they can be liberated through asceticism, so their nails are long, their bodies are covered with dirt, and they wander naked without clothes.
