A reply to the inquiry into the nature of the celestial sphere, entitled "A Garland of Flowers, an Ornament for the Ears of the Wise." A reply to the inquiry into the nature of the celestial sphere, entitled "A Garland of Flowers, an Ornament for the Ears of the Wise." A reply to the inquiry into the nature of the celestial sphere, entitled "A Garland of Flowers, an Ornament for the Ears of the Wise," is presented herein. Oṃ Svasti. (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་སྭ་སྟི།, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ svasti, Literal Chinese meaning: Om, auspicious!). Your body is like a reflection in the clear lake of the heart, As soon as the charming moon's image appears, It loosens the bonds of all existence, I pay homage to Mañjughoṣa, the treasure of wisdom! In the vast lotus garden of the five sciences, Like a bee enjoying the pleasure of contemplation, With the melodious sound of skillfully posed questions, It stimulates the wisdom of other scholars. Here, one's own system and the doctrines of others, The means of discerning the weight of virtues, Like a pure scale of reason, Without relying on it, what use is stubborn adherence to one's own side? Therefore, in order to stimulate the good words of Pukmchur's wise men, As a cause for prompting further thought, The words of question and answer Bloom brilliantly like flowers, Like nectar, they please my heart. Here, a scholar of the five sciences named Manju, in order to stimulate the contemplation of others, knowingly asks questions of others, which may cause doubts in others. In order to dispel these doubts, then, in his own system, the object of study and the method of study are divided into two types. First, regarding the object of study, the basis for the movement of the planets and stars is the sphere of wind. From the fire wheel to the Cool Mountain (presumably a mountain name), it spans seventy-five thousand yojanas. Subtracting a distance of thirteen thousand five hundred yojanas from its outer and inner edges, the remaining fifty thousand yojanas is the orbit of the sun. When the sun travels north to its extreme point, it is located at the edge of fifty thousand yojanas. When it travels south to its extreme point, the sun is at its lowest point. When the sun travels north to its highest point, the distance between it and the sun is one million six hundred thousand yojanas. When the sun is at its lowest point, the distance between the earth and the sun is seventy-five thousand yojanas. Saying only this does not say that each planet has its own sphere. The situation of one sphere is like this, and the discussions that will be explained below are based on the scale of the sphere and

Since the differences of high and low have been acknowledged as stated in the scriptures, what does it mean to say that it has not been mentioned that each planet has its own corresponding sphere? Although the scriptures do not say that the nine planets that move have nine different houses, it seems that no one in either China or Tibet has said this, so where should this aimless arrow be shot? If you say that it has not been said that the birthplace and the basis of movement of the planets are the twelve houses, then that has been said. For example, the teachings of our teacher, the Manjushri Root Tantra, speaks of the twelve houses from Aries to Pisces, and the names of many house retinues, and that great beings such as Ishvara have retinues of thousands of houses. Moreover, in the Great King of the Samvara Tantra, the twelve houses are spoken of in conjunction with the twelve internal transformations, as well as the differences between the birth house and the landowner of these houses, and the degrees of the constellations, etc., which are explained in various ways. Therefore, the measure and all the forms of these houses must be understood by taking the scriptures as the standard of measurement. Those who have not attained the purity of the desire realm and the divine eye of meditation, etc., cannot even understand a small part of Jambudvipa, let alone planets, etc. Therefore, the scriptures must be used as a standard of measurement. Moreover, you have also taken the scriptures that explain the form of the planets as a standard of measurement. Both of us consider this scripture to be the standard of measurement. So, where did this scripture come from? In general, it is the teachings of our teacher. Among them, the source that particularly emphasizes the form of planets, constellations, and spheres is the Kalachakra. In Tibet, only the Abridged Tantra has been translated, and there are no other fundamental scriptures that explain the form of planets and the combination of time wheels. All the commentaries are also based on it. Therefore, when studying planets, it is the standard of measurement. Since this is the case, you have also quoted the scripture of its form first, then, in the Great King of the Abridged Tantra, it says: Between the fire and the cold mountain, there are thousands of yojanas, which are space, void, space, and space mountain. In the center is the half-wheel of Roma, the movement of the sun, and one night is the same.
