The master of recitation in the land of snowy mountains, the essence of scriptures and instructions that no one has found. 4. Because it comes only from the oral instructions of that protector, it is seen as a rare and precious thing like the Buddha's teachings. The discerning and impartial wise person with broad vision knows the difference between a jewel and a knot. 5. For the ignorant, it illuminates the jewel lamp, displaying countless sights of scriptures. For the poor in hearing, it fills them with the wealth of realization of scriptures, like a treasure of nectar. For those who wish to contemplate, it is a resting place for the mind, a great treasure of scriptures and reasoning. For those who are devoted to meditation, it opens the ocean of instructions, a hundred doors of liberation and samadhi. 6. For all those skilled in teaching, it is an ornament for the throat, placing countless collections of scriptures and realizations. For those who wish to debate, it is a sharp weapon of powerful reasoning, like vajra dust. For authors, it is a treasure trove of eloquence, a song of countless melodious strings. The source of everything is the ocean of scriptures, and realization is a great treasure of jewels. 7. Therefore, for all the great upholders of the teachings, with the effort of thought devoted solely to the teachings, may the self-nature of the well-done printing, like the power of the sun, shine in the sky of merit for the teachings and beings of the snowy land. 8. In particular, Tenzin Chodrak, the master printer who has compassion for the non-sectarian teachings, with examination, correction, and service, has arranged the printing house as a beautiful ornament of the Dharma treasury. 9. May the hundreds of thousands of rivers of merit arising from this enter the great ocean of omniscience, without being mixed with the dust of the three wheels of attachment, and may we attain the place of play of Manjushri and the Naga King. 10. By this power, may the non-sectarian teachings of the Victorious Ones flourish, may the upholders of the teachings be stable, may the activities of teaching and practice increase in the ten directions, and may all beings enjoy a feast of perfection. 11. In particular, may the king who protects the four classes and the ten virtues, who is the essence of the lineage of gods, have a long life, may his religious and political power increase, and may the five degenerations become friends of benefit and happiness. 12. The single intention of all the Buddhas, the pinnacle of excellent speech, the scriptures and instructions are adorned like the crest of jewels, the activities of teaching and practice are supported like arms, may you obtain the victory banner that triumphs over all directions. 13. May I, who occupy the profound and vast land, become fortunate to hold, manage, and propagate the treasure of Dharma. May I gain the authority to spread the supreme teachings. 14. May all those connected through good resources and supportive conditions enter the excellent path praised by the Buddhas. May they perfect the vast conduct of Bodhicitta and become the spontaneously accomplished Dharma Kings of two benefits. 15. May I perfect the great ability of wisdom, compassion, and power to easily grasp the complete teachings of the Buddha. May the vows to explain, compose, uphold, manage, and propagate be fulfilled as the Lama wishes. May the power of this pure virtue, which cannot be measured by billions of worldly wealth, be complete. May the biography of Manjushri Vajra be like an ocean, bringing relief to all beings, and may it be auspicious. 16. This was written at the request of the print master Lama Tenzin Chodrak, who holds the treasure of the three trainings, with a pure vision of the precious teachings without sectarianism, and at the repeated requests of the wise and broad-minded secretary Tsewang Rinchen. Jamyang Lodro Gyatso, who has obtained the lotus feet of the omniscient Lama, the complete and perfect Buddha Situ Chokyi Gyatso, as the lord of his lineage, wrote this with immaculate splendor at the retreat behind the Mugsang (place name). May goodness increase. May Manjushri, the supreme giver, hold and protect with Vajra. May the light of the Three Roots and the oath-bound ones be seen with joy. May the power of fearless, free, great bliss Vajra be attained. May all the accomplishments of complete victory over all directions be attained. This is followed by the arrangement of the eight auspicious ones. Good! Mangalam (Tibetan, Devanagari: मङ्गलम्, Romanized Sanskrit: maṅgalam, literal Chinese meaning: auspicious). May goodness greatly increase. May all diseases be permanently pacified and may there be happiness. May the gods be extremely pleased and protect. May the Dharma always increase and flourish.
