Regarding this, based on the Indian texts of this type of book, as well as various texts such as "Supreme Joy," "Hundred Lights," "Ornamental Fire," and so on, as well as the oral instructions of the lama and one's own analysis, I have briefly recorded the essentials of each calculation. The great omniscient and all-seeing one with definite meaning, my supreme guide, the incomparable Manjushri Protector with Five Tufts, the embodiment of the Threefold Vajra Holder, Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo, the sun of eloquence, who is renowned in the three realms, personally instructed me to compile the practices of phonetics into one place, and bestowed upon me a jewel diadem, tied to my head, and also bestowed auspicious heavenly garments and incomparably precious offerings. Based on this, the junior monk Mipham Gyatso, born at the end of your Dharma seat, or named Jampal Gyepe Rangdang Tsojung Zhepe Gesar, at the great Dharma center of explanation and practice of the glorious Ngor tradition—Dzongsar Trashi Lhatse (Dzogchen Monastery, located in Dege County, Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province)—in the auspicious day of the waxing month of the Rabjung Victorious Year, slightly embellished, compiled into one work. The glorious one, victorious in battle, The hidden essence of the lineage vajra, revealed. The meaning of the instructions is extremely clear, The wisdom mirror given by the Manjushri Lama. 1 The enemy of the three existences, Mipham, completely victorious, Fame pervades the other shore of the ocean, This treatise, the power of the gods, the sound of the gods' drum, Is the sharp arrow that protects the Dharma. 2 Through the merit of printing this, May the intention of the omniscient lama be fulfilled, In the northern palace of Kalachakra, May we be inseparable from the fierce one with the wheel. 3 Thus, seeing the special essential points needed, Padma Osel Do-ngak Lingpa's three secrets of inexhaustible activity, regarded as the Yidam Manjushri Wisdom Ocean, personally wrote this aspiration during the printing.
