Turn the disaster into a calamity, avert the calamity. Cut off all calamities. Subdue! Forcibly subdue! Never transgress! Do not rise! Write this and wrap it horizontally, placing it in the back of the skull. Furthermore, when livestock dies, remove the flesh from the right scapula of the deceased animal. On the smooth, flat surface of the scapula, draw a lingam of the calamity demon, with its head pointing towards the joint of the scapula. The life-syllable "ཏྲི"(Tibetan, Devanagari, tri, deliverance) is afflicted by two "ཛ"(Tibetan, Devanagari, ja, birth) syllables, and the four limbs are marked with the location syllables "ཛཿ"(Tibetan, Devanagari, jah, come), "ཧཱུྃ་"(Tibetan, Devanagari, hūṃ, hum), "བྃ་"(Tibetan, Devanagari, bam, bam), "ཧོཿ"(Tibetan, Devanagari, hoḥ, hoḥ). Draw the legs and arms bound in iron. From the head of the lingam, encircle it counterclockwise with the fire-offering mantra. Combine the skull of the calamity and the scapula lingam. On the skin of the deceased livestock, write: "May all calamity demons and evil spirits rot." And affix many seals, binding it crosswise with five-colored silk threads or colored cords, and place it within "ཧོཾ་"(Tibetan, Devanagari, hūṃ, seed syllable). This is the sequence of materials. Invoke your own tutelary deity, Yamaraja, etc., and perform the ritual correctly. During the recitation, make the sound "འབུང". Perform the tsok offering, diligently summoning and dismissing the calamity demon, and absorb it into the image. Then recite this life-force mantra: Om, fire pile erupt! Water pile erupt! Sum pile erupt! Blood pile erupt! Erupt into the heart of the calamity demon! Mara ya nan hum hum phat! Recite this. If signs appear in dreams such as slaughtering a red person, or binding the mouths of rabbits and cats, etc., then encircle it with black resin and bind it crosswise with black rope, and bury and press it down in a pit dug inside the fence, or at a crossroads, or under a stupa, or at a crossroads. Seal the mouth by drawing a vajra cross on a river stone or flat stone. Imagine pressing down on it with a Mount Meru made of countless gold mountains, and then imagine the wrathful king, the mighty one, pressing down on it, and recite this mantra: Om Vajra Krodha Mahabala Hum! Sphota Sphota Hum Phat! May all calamity demons and evil spirits Stambhaya Lam Nan Nan Hum Phat! While reciting this, cover it with fire, water, earth, and stones. While maintaining the visualization above, perform a dance and speak auspicious words. Even without this mantra and practice, just by these rituals alone, one can certainly cut off the calamity demons. What need is there to mention the result if one practices it? By doing so, one can be certain that all future calamities will be cut off. This is mainly for cutting off calamities affecting livestock. For livestock such as horses, write the syllable "ཏྲི"(Tibetan, Devanagari, tri, deliverance) counterclockwise in the center of the scapula. Fire pile Sham calamity demon Mara ya Phat! Write this. To cut off calamities affecting goats and sheep, write on the scapula of a female goat or female sheep: Tri tra sod. Ruru sod. Write

Ni ru tri so svaha. Write Bam (Tibetan: བཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: वँ, Sanskrit Romanization: vam, Literal meaning: Bam) on the ribs of a Mongol. Write Ram (Tibetan: རཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: रँ, Sanskrit Romanization: ram, Literal meaning: Ram) on the top of other similar disaster foundations. Make the shape of a monkey out of dough. Press these together as before. This contains the oral instructions for cutting off disasters, only the ritual part, with various elaborations and abridgements. If the ultimate activity of Yamantaka is a profound cutting off of disasters, even though Yamantaka is the lord of the ten bhumis, if disasters occur due to the large number of flesh-eating retinues, then the method for cutting it off is shown. These two old texts were combined by Mipham Jampal Gyepe in the Good Deed Water Tiger year, on the second day of the waxing moon of the Black Month, at the top of the Labrang of Samten Choling. This is very profound, it should be cherished, may this benefit others! This should not be widely spread, there is one key point. Mangalam! Ajita Shastvam. The peaceful dös kor (ritual circuit) and pressing down, such as the Vajrapani empowerment tantra.
