For sentient beings who are like a gathering, completely lead them into the Dharma of the correct path of the Buddha himself, ultimately pacifying all suffering, the Nirvana Dharmakaya is like the door of the Buddha's face. The two obscurations are completely purified, pure and supreme, endowed with vast qualities such as strength, supreme bliss, common to all Buddhas, therefore the supreme self of the great self, eternally inexhaustible, therefore the supreme other shore of permanence, thus established. Thus taught, the ultimate Buddha Dharmakaya of individual self-realization, is directly indicated by words, and after realizing it as it is, although there are no sentient beings who have become Buddhas, the profound cause for attaining the ultimate Dharmakaya is the Suchness itself, and the infallible teachings of the Agamas that indicate the means of the path, through the path of hearing, thinking, and meditating as it is, there is no deception in obtaining the wisdom of individual self-realization of the noble ones. Through this wisdom, one unerringly comprehends the Suchness itself, the object of individual self-realization that is inconceivable. Ultimately manifesting the wisdom Dharmakaya of the Buddha, therefore, such an object of individual self-realization cannot be directly indicated by words, but is indicated indirectly by relying on the Dharma of the Agamas. Therefore, the meditation of a yogi who possesses Shamatha and Vipassana is not meaningless, because by relying on meditation, the wisdom of individual self-realization arises. Meditation is meaningful, therefore, in order to meditate as it is, the Dharma of the Sugatas, such as the Sutras, is also meaningful. Those who are contrary to the path of meditating on Suchness, such as the Tirthikas who meditate on the self, are not the path to liberation, but the Dharma that teaches the Suchness of things as it is, such as meditating on non-self, by hearing and thinking about its meaning, and meditating as one obtains certainty, from this arises the individual self-realization of seeing Suchness. If it is not so, if merely hearing about non-self and so on, one could directly see its meaning, then one should be liberated immediately, and meditating on its meaning would become meaningless. If the Dharma that teaches non-self and so on.

If people can understand and practice its meaning without hearing it, then all the scriptures and teachings will become meaningless. Since there is no need to teach, that is also impossible. The noble ones, with their wisdom, truly realize the nature of reality and each attains self-realization. First, one must listen to the sacred Dharma, then through contemplation, understand its meaning, and then single-mindedly practice that meaning. Therefore, one must first generate the wisdom of listening. Thus, the teachings of listening to and expounding the Dharma are of great significance and necessity. Third, the manner of teaching the Dharma, there are two ways: the way a Bodhisattva teaches the Dharma and the way a Buddha teaches the Dharma. First, the Bodhisattva's teaching of the Dharma has three aspects: the categories of teaching methods, the excellence of meaning, and the excellence of words. First, it is explained with one verse such as "Supreme Bodhisattva," etc. In the stage of practice with faith, teaching as heard from the virtuous friend, the Buddha and other Bodhisattvas, is teaching based on the scriptures. From the first to the seventh Bhumi, teaching is done through the power of realizing the Dharmadhatu. In the three pure Bhumis, teaching the Dharma is done with the power of spontaneously accomplished non-conceptual wisdom and direct perception, which is called the three categories. Furthermore, from the eighth Bhumi onwards, through the blessings of the empowered ones, the sound of Dharma teaching arises from the sounds of songs and musical instruments, etc., from one's own and others' mouths. The sound of Dharma also arises from any object, such as walls and musical instrument parts. Even from the sky, the sound of teaching the Dharma arises. Second, it is explained with two verses such as "Vast, dispelling doubts," etc. Through extensive listening, the vastness related to Dharma and meaning is shown or clarified. One has no doubts about the Dharma, thereby dispelling the doubts of others. One abides in the Dharma, therefore others are suitable to accept one's words and are able to listen to one's speech, which is also called pleasing. Possessing these four qualities that reveal the reality of both cyclic existence and liberation is called the perfection of a Bodhisattva's teaching of the Dharma. This is as stated in the Sutra Requested by Brahma, through extensive listening, in the world...
