Realizing that the essence is inexpressible and free from names is called the wisdom of obtaining the warm sign. That Bodhisattva, by speaking in names or merely contemplating this and that, can supremely know all phenomena, and seeing the appearance of phenomena from the mind, this is called the Samadhi of the peak appearance increasing. In the aspect of the grasped, those phenomena that appear are the appearance of the mind itself, knowing that there is no external object apart from the mind like a dream, and abiding with correct knowledge in the nature of mind-only, this is called forbearance, which is the Samadhi of entering into one aspect of that Suchness, because of realizing that one aspect of that Suchness is free from grasping and being grasped, and the grasped is without self-nature. Thereafter, directly realizing that the Dharmadhatu is free from the characteristics of both grasping and being grasped, one will attain the path of seeing. How is it that during forbearance, one knows with wisdom that there is no grasped or external object apart from the mind, and then if there is no grasped, then there is no mind that grasps it, because the grasped and the grasper are mutually dependent, so if there is no grasped, then one also realizes that there is no grasper, this is the immediately preceding Samadhi of the supreme Dharma. Immediately after that, the wise one, knowing that both the grasper and the grasped are without self-nature, then non-conceptual wisdom is manifested, and the two characteristics of the grasper and the grasped do not abide in that Dharmadhatu, abiding directly with self-cognizant wisdom, then the afflictive obscurations and the cognitive obscurations to be abandoned by seeing are abandoned. Thereafter, in the path of meditation, the wise one, with the power of non-conceptual wisdom, constantly goes equally in all or all in all external and internal phenomena from the second to the tenth Bhumi, that is, without contemplating the objects of the grasper and the grasped, going equally without duality. The continuum or Alaya-vijnana of that Bodhisattva, which depends on the nature of other-dependence, depending on the afflictive obscurations and cognitive obscurations of that, whatever collection of faults of the habitual tendencies of grasping and being grasped has been accumulated since beginningless time, and is difficult to know and abandon, like a dense thicket of forests, for example, if a few drops of a great poison medicine are poured into a poison bottle, then all the poison will be transformed into medicine, like that.

Just by picking it up and tasting it, all poisons are eliminated. Just as a powerful antidote eliminates poison, the path of meditation on non-conceptual wisdom completely eliminates the subtle obscurations to be abandoned, which are like poison, from their roots, and manifests the great non-conceptual wisdom of the Buddha's realm. The sacred Dharma spoken by the Buddhas, which can permanently restrain all misdeeds of the three doors, and which possesses twelve branches such as the Sutras, etc., is the ultimate root of the meaning of all that is well-established for the sake of the three virtues of beginning, middle, and end, namely, placing intelligence or wisdom in the realm of Dharma. Because the meaning of all the Sutras is gathered into one and made the object of focus, it is also called the root mind. Thus, as the stream of mindfulness that thinks of the realm of Dharma in meditative equipoise becomes more and more distinguished, and in the subsequent attainment, one realizes that there are no other phenomena other than the thoughts of one's own mind, but only mind, and also realizes that the mind is without self-nature. Those Bodhisattvas who have such stability of Bodhicitta will soon reach the other shore of the ocean of qualities of the resultant Dharma, such as strength and fearlessness, and become Buddhas. This is the teaching of the state of no more learning. Here, in most of the copies, "object of mindfulness" is an incorrect copy, because the commentary of Blo brtan and the Mahāyānasaṃgraha also say "stream of mindfulness" when quoting this passage. The explanation of the seventh chapter, the chapter on Suchness, from the Ornament of the Great Vehicle Sutras, is completed. Seventh Chapter: The Chapter on Thinking About the Truth to be Realized.
