The Guru steals the appearances of the three doors, and the mind is completely absorbed in devotion. When relaxing in this state, the light of awareness naturally merges into devotion without obstruction. Appearing without clinging to characteristics is when devotion appears as self-awareness. Self-awareness is liberated into the realm of the unborn Dharmakaya, and one should abide in this state without acceptance or rejection. Secondly, introducing and guiding from the perspective of practice: Maintain the seven-point posture, and fix your eyes on the space. The mind stops in the past, the future has not yet arisen, and the present awareness is clear and without grasping. Instruct to directly look at the very face of that self-awareness, self-luminous awareness. By looking in this way, the present awareness appears as three-quarters detached, clear, and open. This is the spontaneously arisen wisdom Dharmakaya, the great realm beyond thought, and should be immediately recognized. Without losing this state, enter into the yoga practice of continuous mindfulness like a flowing river. Thirdly, introducing from the perspective of the three aspects of ground, path, and fruition: The root is: The nature of unborn emptiness is the Dharmakaya, the self-luminous and unimpeded appearance is the Sambhogakaya, and the Nirmanakaya emanates from the power of non-duality. Although these three appearances are different, in reality, the essence is one taste, the Svabhavikakaya, the nature of the four Kayas spontaneously accomplished. These two verses are combined with the four Kayas of the ground, path, and fruition to introduce them. First, introducing from the perspective of the ground's self-nature reality: What is the basis for the path that purifies to purify the impurities to be purified, and the basis for the power of separation to manifest the qualities? It is like a wish-fulfilling jewel covered by mud. Although the nature of the mind is luminous like a jewel, covered by the mud of impurities to be purified, the impurities are impermanent and adventitious, so the object of purification has never been stained. In the Ratnagotravibhāga it says: The nature of the mind is luminous, unchanging like the sky. Desires, etc., arising from untrue discriminations, are not defiled by adventitious impurities. Therefore, the nature of the mind is free from faults that should be abandoned from the beginning, and is the self-purified nature.

The nature is the essence of the Thus-gone One, existing from the beginning, unchanging. The aspect of its essence that is emptiness is the wisdom of the Dharmakaya, free from elaboration. The unobstructed radiance, the manifestation of the five bodies and five wisdoms, etc., the aspect of the nature that is clarity, is the Sambhogakaya. From the power of the indivisibility of emptiness and clarity, the arising of knowing wisdom, the aspect of compassionate awareness, is the Nirmanakaya. Thus, these three wisdoms of emptiness, clarity, and awareness, united as one taste in the essence of primordial mind, luminosity, is the Svabhavikakaya. It is the nature in which the qualities of the Buddha are spontaneously present in the mind itself from the beginning. Furthermore, it is said in this very (text): "The ground, the abiding awareness, essence, and nature, and the three of compassion, are the essence of the Victorious Ones. It is taught that the three bodies are spontaneously present." And in the Kunjed Gyalpo (All-Creating King Tantra): "O great-hearted one, listen! From my nature, the All-Creating Bodhi, that which is spontaneously accomplished without seeking is the essence of all the Buddhas, the three bodies. My essence is accomplished as the unmade Dharmakaya. My nature is the unmade Sambhogakaya. My compassion is the manifest Nirmanakaya, the three. Teaching the fruit that is accomplished by seeking is not (the true teaching). It is spontaneously accomplished without seeking." In short, in ultimate truth, although there is no distinction to be made between the three aspects of what is to be purified—the nature of reality itself—and the alaya-consciousness, the dualistic appearance of grasping and the grasped, and the adventitious stains that obscure them—to be purified, being purified, and being purified—nevertheless, in the relative order of beings' minds, there are three stages: when obscured by obscurations, sentient beings; when the obscurations are being removed, Bodhisattvas; and when the obscurations have been removed and purified, Buddhas. Just as the beryl that is inside the stone and the beryl that is free from the stone's obscuration are the same in essence and nature, so too are the ground and the fruit the same. Therefore, the path that purifies the stains of the ground must also be cultivated in accordance with the ground and the fruit. Therefore, one should train in sustaining the wisdom of awareness, emptiness, and clarity, the spontaneously arising wisdom, the great perfection beyond thought and intellect, the view of primordial purity, without elimination or establishment. And the root of the introduction to the path and the fruit also lies in this ground, the object to be introduced. Therefore, it is crucial to generate certainty about the meaning of the ground, the nature of reality.
