It is difficult to obtain. Because being able to obtain a human body and keep the precepts seems rare in the world, it is difficult to obtain from the perspective of cause. Like a turtle whose neck fits into the single hole of a yoke swayed by the wind in the great ocean, surfacing once every hundred years, it is difficult to obtain from the perspective of metaphor. Like the livestock of summer filling the earth, mountains, and rivers, the time of human existence is so short, it is difficult to obtain from the perspective of number, one should observe in this way. Also, consider the great benefit of obtaining it, because all victors rely on this body to become enlightened and expand. Like a poor person finding a wish-fulfilling jewel, I have obtained the precious human body with leisure and endowment, how fortunate! Now, do not let it pass meaninglessly, but study the Dharma with single-mindedness, do not let leisure and endowment go to waste, one should think strongly in this way. Second, the teaching on the impermanence of life is: Even if obtained in this way, it is not constant; because the order of old, young, and middle age is uncertain; like a candle in the wind, a water bubble, a bird on a treetop; like a blind person dying helplessly, one must abandon the mind of permanence; contemplate death with strong renunciation; practice Dharma from the heart, abandon the distractions of this life. The meaning of what was said is: Difficult to obtain, and having great meaning once obtained, the precious human body, even if obtained, will not last long. Without doubt whether one will die, from birth onwards all are certain to die. Moreover, the order of old, young, and middle age is uncertain in death. Like a candle in the wind, there are many adverse conditions; like a water bubble, it is unstable; like a bird perched on a treetop, one does not know when it will die. Furthermore, like a pond with a broken bottom where the water source has dried up, this life has no increase only decrease, so it is quickly impermanent. Like a monkey in the center of a forest surrounded by fire, there is no escape anywhere. In short, will I myself die tonight? Therefore, postpone all trivial distractions. For this life as short as the setting sun between the clouds, if one does not practice from the heart the genuine Dharma that can become the provisions for the next life, one will regret dying, one should think strongly in this way. Third, the teaching on the law of cause and effect is: Impermanence has been taught

Alas, it is not without suffering and happiness. Like sweet and bitter seeds, the fruits ripen accordingly. From practicing non-virtue, one falls into hells, hungry ghosts, animals, asuras, and other lower realms. One experiences unbearable sufferings such as heat, cold, hunger, thirst, ignorance, fighting, migration, and falling. By practicing virtue, one temporarily attains pleasant happiness, and ultimately obtains the bliss of peace and nirvana. Therefore, abandon non-virtue like a pit of fire, and genuinely practice the sacred Dharma from the heart. It is said that although death is certain, one might think that there is no need to practice Dharma after death. If one goes to nothingness from here, then it would be so, but one does not go to nothingness. For example, if one plants sweet seeds, sweet fruits will ripen, and from bitter seeds, bitter fruits will ripen. By practicing the ten non-virtuous actions, one is born in the three lower realms and experiences the suffering of sinful actions. By practicing the ten virtuous actions, one temporarily obtains happiness in the higher realms, and ultimately, it becomes a stepping stone to liberation. Abandon the ten non-virtuous actions, even the slightest ones, like poison. Rely on virtuous actions like medicine that revives the dead. Transform walking, standing, sleeping, sitting, and other actions that are neither virtuous nor non-virtuous into virtuous actions. At this time when you have obtained leisure and opportunity, make sure that what you do is not meaningless, and think about it intensely. Furthermore, one might think, "What does it matter if I am born in the lower realms due to non-virtuous actions?" That is because it has not yet come upon your shoulders, so it is just talk. If you think about the reason in this way, you will understand. The suffering of hell is as follows: In the hot hells, on the burning iron ground, the beings who are revived see each other as enemies, and they beat each other, dying and being revived again and again. In the Black Line Hell, black lines are drawn on the body, and they are cut with saws, axes, and so on. In the Crushing Hell, they are squeezed like sesame seeds between things that look like the faces of mountain goats and sheep. In the Howling Hell, in desperation, they search for a forest of happiness, but they enter a burning iron house, and the door is closed, and they are burned. In the Great Howling Hell, they are burned in a two-story iron house. In the Hot Hell, they are burned in a burning iron house and pierced with three-pronged spears. In the Very Hot Hell, they are boiled in boiling water in iron and copper pots, and their stomachs are
