The Primordial Purity Guiding Text, Stainless Light, of the Profound Dharma, Treasure Trove of the Wisdom Holder's Heart Essence. The Great Translator Dharma Shri. The one called The Primordial Purity Guiding Text, Stainless Light, of the Profound Dharma, Treasure Trove of the Wisdom Holder's Heart Essence abides. The Great Translator Dharma Shri. I prostrate with reverence to the feet of the Great Treasure Guru, whose kindness is unparalleled, the embodiment of the wisdom, love, and power inseparable from all Buddhas of the three times. To the one who leads all beings to the supreme kingship of liberation, which is the benefit and bliss, I bow to the feet of the Great Treasure Guru. In this, I will clearly explain the method of guiding fortunate ones through the profound path of Ati, the innermost essence of all the collections of Dharma of all the Sugatas of all directions and times. Furthermore, to lead fortunate disciples to the state of Buddhahood swiftly and easily through the profound path of Ati Yoga, the ultimate essence of definitive meaning expressed in all Sutras and Tantras, there are three points: the preliminary guidance to make them vessels suitable for practicing the path; the main guidance on how to lead them to the path through the methods of practicing generation and completion stages; and the subsequent guidance to generate certainty by introducing them to the nature of reality as it is. First, the preliminary practices are twofold: the preliminary practices common to the Sutras, and the preliminary practices uncommon to the Mantra path. First, the common ones are: in a secluded place where thorns do not arise for meditation, sit on a comfortable seat and meditate in this way. There are five objects of focus for that: At this time when I have obtained the precious human body endowed with the fully complete support, possessing the eighteen qualities of leisure and endowment, I must be liberated from the suffering of samsara. The means of liberation is none other than the sacred Dharma. And the sacred Dharma is also now that I have obtained the precious human body, the five senses are complete, I am cared for by a Guru, a virtuous friend, I have encountered profound instructions, I have the authority to practice Dharma, and I know how to practice. Like a poor person finding a precious wish-fulfilling jewel, if I do not strive at this time when I have obtained a rare and difficult support, then later, no matter what causes, conditions, examples, or numbers I consider, such a confluence of circumstances will not occur. Just as one must cross the river when there is a boat, at this time when all the conducive conditions for attaining Buddhahood are fully complete, considering the power, wealth, enjoyment, etc. of this life's appearances as happiness

Without clinging to the self, thinking that if I don't practice the genuine Dharma of eternal bliss, I will die like this, this is the first objective. Practicing the Dharma should be like one's hair catching fire, without delay, it must be done immediately. The reason is that even though this precious human body has been obtained, it is unreliable. From birth onwards, apart from the difference in lifespan, no one can escape death, all beings in the three realms and six paths will inevitably die in the end. Moreover, life does not increase, and every moment is approaching death, because everything is impermanent, so one must die quickly. Like a candle in the wind, there are many causes of death; like a water bubble, life is unstable; like a bird landing on a treetop, one does not know when it will fly away, death does not follow the order of old, middle, and young, so one does not know when one will die. In short, like a moth meeting a flame, like stars colliding, one cannot be sure that one will not die now. At the time of death, nothing that is not Dharma can help you. Like a sick person not doing tomorrow's work when dying, abandon the affairs of this life with strong renunciation, do not be idle for even a moment, like the fire of a great kalpa burning, the three doors of body, speech, and mind must diligently practice the sacred Dharma. Resolve to do this, this is the second objective. If you are not afraid of dying, thinking that after death you don't have to take rebirth, it would be good if you could become nothing, even that would be fine. But you will not become nothing, just as sweet and bitter seeds ripen separately, from the causes of good and bad karma, the fruits of happiness and suffering will ripen, so one must correctly adopt and abandon good and evil. Good deeds must also be embraced by the wisdom that realizes no self-nature, this is a flawless good deed, or a good deed that is in accordance with liberation. Because it is the cause of liberation, just as when crops are harvested, weeds also appear incidentally, temporary human and heavenly bliss will also follow, so one must diligently practice. Apart from that, flawed good deeds that are unrelated to the path of liberation are called conforming to merit, they can only produce human and heavenly bliss, and will eventually be exhausted, like having a good dream while sleeping, it is meaningless.
