Without blinking the eyes or moving the eyeballs, gaze intently. The key to speech is to let the breath be natural. The key to the mind is to visualize in one's own heart a moon upon which is Samantabhadra, blue in color, with the mudra of vajra posture in meditative equipoise. Visualize the body as clear, without obscurations, of the nature of light, and trust in that without special grasping. Do not tighten, do not loosen. Do not think of any thoughts of the three times, but naturally rest in equanimity, and gaze intently at that very nature. By looking in that way, there is no grasping at anything, and a naked, unelaborated clarity and awareness beyond the realm of mind will arise. That is the nature of the five wisdoms, the mind of Samantabhadra. In that state, one should cultivate without effort, without rejection or acceptance. As it says in The Great Sky: "Do not sever the past, abandon the notion of what has passed. Do not welcome the future, cut the thread of the mind. In the middle, without grasping, rest in the state of sky." And as it says in Empowerment Words: "Awareness is the very nature of mind. Unelaborated, utterly pure, it is wisdom. The ground of all, primordially uncreated, Rest in the expanse of great bliss, self-arisen." Furthermore, at that time, the nature of mind appears as awareness, without grasping, and the self-radiance does not cease in great bliss. All kinds of powers will arise, transcending what is to be meditated upon and the meditator, completely unfolding in self-luminousness without a place. Therefore, it says: "Appearance and emptiness are inseparable, the dharmakaya. Awareness and emptiness arise as great bliss. Coemergence is unelaborated. It is the nature of Samantabhadra." It is best to abide in that state. If thoughts arise, by gazing intently at the very nature of whatever arises, all thoughts that have arisen, will arise, and are arising will vanish like a whirlwind, and the self-arisen, self-liberated wisdom will clearly and non-conceptually arise nakedly.

Generate unfeigned great compassion for those who enjoy this share. Truly knowing samsara and nirvana as a single stream, view the wheel of pure appearances of the outer environment and inner beings as inseparable from all the Buddhas. Knowing all of that as one's own mind, the very nature of the indivisibility of the two truths, may all phenomena be purified into the mandala of the hundred peaceful and wrathful families. Moreover, that is also completely purified into the one great secret family. Therefore, whatever you do, such as recitation, meditation, etc., should be used as the great play of freedom of samsara and nirvana. Thus, guide the student according to the level of their mind. Starting with the introduction of the five experiences and realizations of the stages of generation: shaking, obtaining, habituation, stability, and completion, and by experienced ones skillfully instructing on eliminating obstacles and increasing progress, the experience and realization will increase like a waxing moon, and gradually traverse the paths of accumulation and preparation. Undoubtedly, it will lead the student to the four vidyadharas of the union of learning, and the state of the unexcelled Samantabhadra, the union of non-learning. Speech (Tibetan: ངག༵,Devanagari: वाक्,Romanized Sanskrit: Vāk, Literal Chinese meaning: Speech) transcends the realm of words and thoughts, the meaning of the four empowerments. Having practiced properly, the superior Dharma (Tibetan: ཆོས༵,Devanagari: धर्म,Romanized Sanskrit: Dharma, Literal Chinese meaning: Dharma) body. In order to attain the unsurpassed state of the glorious (Tibetan: དཔ༵ལ་,Devanagari: श्री,Romanized Sanskrit: Śrī, Literal Chinese meaning: Glorious) Vajrasattva of union, I dedicate this.
