For all matters, consider the root causes and conditions that have a broad impact, and all people of all ages should contemplate how to combine actions with long-term benefits and well-being. If one only pursues short-term pleasures and satisfactions, it will ultimately waste the resources of the Sangha, and in the end, nothing will be gained. These monastic houses, secular houses, and temples were originally part of the Sangha. Therefore, it is important to listen, accept, and reject, and to correctly judge how to transform their shortcomings into advantages. Written in the year of the Fire Rat (no specific year given, inferred from the content to possibly refer to a historical event or specific temple regulations). Furthermore, during floods, assistance must be allowed for patients and necessary special projects, and cannot be refused. Otherwise, if you do not go to Lingka (park), you cannot stay here. The important general code of conduct has been compiled and listed separately. I prostrate to all the noble and venerable Lamas, Buddhas, and Bodhisattvas! In order for the resident monks of this monastery and the students who come from all over to study to be able to jointly observe, I have extracted the order of precepts, that is, the root precepts and the branch precepts, according to their meaning, to make them easy to understand. As it is said in the Bodhicharyavatara: "The suffering of beings is the only medicine, the source of all happiness, is the teaching of the Buddha." Therefore, what all beings do not want is suffering, and what they want is benefit and happiness. Therefore, eliminating suffering is like a good medicine, and the wish for all benefits and happiness to be fulfilled as desired is like a jewel and the Dharma, which only the teachings of the Victorious One can accomplish. And the existence of the teachings depends on the Sangha that holds the teachings. In order for the Sangha to exist in accordance with the Dharma, all those who gather here must be based on pure discipline, abide by their vows, and be diligent through hearing, thinking, and meditating, thereby maintaining, promoting, and spreading the teachings through teaching and practice. To this end, do not remain in an ordinary state, but wear the armor of determination with great courage, practice with diligent action, and never be satisfied with the sacred Dharma.

It is necessary to learn. The reason for this is that we have all obtained the precious human body of leisure and opportunity, which is difficult to find. We have encountered the rare and special virtuous friend, the Lama, who has taken us under his care, and thus we have met the Buddha's teachings. If we do not align our body, speech, and mind with the Dharma during this time of freedom, we will only regret it at the time of death, so we must strive now. The conditions for practicing the Dharma depend on the blessings of the holy Lama and the rules of the monastic community. Therefore, we must have unwavering faith and commitment to the holy Lama, cherishing them like the heart in our chest and the apple of our eye, considering them as our very life. With devotion that sees everything they do as good and regards everything they say as true, we must serve with our body, proclaim their praises with our speech, and trust that they know everything with our mind, able to place our hopes in them. If we do not have faith in the Lama, even if we try to practice the Dharma, there will be many obstacles, our wisdom of hearing and contemplation will be small, and even if we meditate, realization will not arise. Even if we understand a little Dharma, we will not be able to benefit others. Therefore, having faith and respect for the Lama is not important for the Lama, but important for the student themselves. So, we must strive with great effort to do everything that pleases the Lama, practice Guru Yoga, and so on, because all our happiness in this life and the next depends entirely on the kindness of the Lama. Having relied on the holy Lama in this way, we must cherish and learn the rules of the monastic community, which teach us what to adopt and abandon, as if they were our own life. Furthermore, all those who reside in this monastery have taken either the vows of individual liberation, such as Bhikshu or Shramanera, as well as the Bodhisattva vows of the Great Vehicle, and have ripened their minds through empowerment in the great Mandala of the Mantra vows. Therefore, those who did not know these precepts before should study and contemplate the extensive and concise teachings that suit their own understanding. Those who do know them should abandon all misdeeds included in the transgressions of both natural and prescribed faults, no matter what happens, and sincerely practice all virtuous deeds without hypocrisy, so that they do not regret in their own minds, are not criticized by others, and are not ashamed before the Three Jewels, including the gods. To achieve this, in general...
