Returning. After that, rising from the peak of existence. Then, using a non-samadhi consciousness belonging to the desire realm as an interval, surpassing eight and entering into cessation. Then, there is the second case of abiding in samadhi and departing. The third is one case of arriving, after which surpassing one to the peak of existence, then the desire mind, then surpassing two to the realm of nothingness, similarly surpassing eight to the first dhyana. Then, abiding in the desire realm mind, alternating between samadhi and post-attainment of different kinds, is considered a transcendent samadhi. Second, there are two aspects to that: preparation and the main practice. First, going from the first dhyana up to cessation, and then coming from cessation down to the first dhyana. Thus, there are two cases: in accordance with the order and not in accordance with the order. Second, there are three aspects: just the main practice, with distinctions, and with the greatest distinctions. First, the nine samadhis go up and down in two ways: in accordance with the order and not in accordance with the order. Second, after that, again entering into the first dhyana, rising from that and entering into cessation. Similarly, each samadhi and each cessation alternate, up to the realm of neither perception nor non-perception. From that cessation, entering into samadhi, and after rising from that, the immediately following samadhi enters with the peak of existence as its object. Then, placing the consciousness that operates in the desire realm as the nature of an interval, rising with the power of skillful means, manifesting such a non-samadhi desire mind, and after that, entering into cessation. Then, for non-samadhi, it is said to be a small amount, eighty thousand kalpas. Third, after that, abandoning only cessation, which is the realm of neither perception nor non-perception. Then, abandoning two non-samadhi desire minds, which is the realm of nothingness. Then, it is samadhi. Similarly, abandoning the eighth up to the second dhyana, which is the first dhyana. Then, it is non-samadhi. That is the non-conforming way of going down. Then, like before, abandoning one, the second has alternating desire minds, abandoning one, the third, and so on, up to the samadhi of cessation.

Through the progressive method of alternating between similar and dissimilar practices, one transcends the ordinary and enters into the supreme samadhi. Regarding the peak of uninterrupted yoga, there are three aspects: definition, object of focus, and elimination of wrong views. First, the definition is: the ultimate yoga of a bodhisattva that can generate its own true result—omniscience—and is not obstructed by other dharmas. An example is the wisdom of constant cessation. Second, the definition of the object of focus is: the dharma that serves as the basis for severing the superimpositions of the peak of uninterrupted yoga. Examples include all dharmas characterized by the realization of selflessness. Among these, there are three ways of focusing: focusing on the general meaning, focusing on the entity, and focusing on the directly perceived reality. Third, there are two aspects: definition and classification. First, the definition is: any wrong conception that uses either of the two truths as a reason to refute the other, and any fallacious statement induced by that wrong view. Second, there are two types: wrong conceptions to be eliminated and disputes to be eliminated. The definition of the first is: a wrong view that uses either of the two truths as a reason to refute the other. An example is the conception that clings to the existence of conventional truth and considers it contradictory to ultimate truth. The definition of the second is: a fallacious statement that uses either of the two truths as a reason to refute the other. The classifications include the sixteen disputes to be eliminated, as indicated by "the object of focus is reasonable and its..." etc. In summary, there are two types of disputes to be eliminated: those with conventional truth as the gateway and those with ultimate truth as the gateway. The definition of the first is: any dispute to be eliminated that posits the commitment of conventional truth as the reason. The classifications include the disputes to be eliminated where the commitment of conventional truth refutes ultimate truth, and where the commitment of ultimate truth refutes the other. In the concise and clear commentary on the Ornament for Clear Realization, this is the fifth chapter on the explanation of peak yoga.
