The next day, the people who offered khatas were given generous hospitality, and then they entered retreat. On the twenty-third day of the third month of the Earth Mouse year (1948), the retreat was lifted, and from the twenty-eighth day, that evening, the incarnate Pema Wangyal and his attendants, the monks of Mindrolling Monastery, Rongpa Dzogchenpa, and others, nearly four hundred people gathered. He bestowed the empowerment and instructions of Thugthig Adon Khandro Nyingthig, and instructed me to provide guidance and especially to strive to find the nature of mind. After the transmission of the Dharma was completed, he bestowed the longevity practice of the Kunrik Nyingdü to Pema Tulku and his attendants, and to Drongnying and Mintrol. Afterwards, he said: When you, Pema Tulku, first went to Chuwo Ri when you were young, your father and others went to visit, and at that time I shook the vajra bell, etc., leaving a good impression, and you happily grabbed the shawls on my left and right sides, etc. Later I thought, you might be following me, etc., he said openly. After the transmission of the Dharma was completed in late May, during the break in the retreat, I asked: Although I have been relying on the inner practice of Garwang Tsepakme and especially the secret practice of the activity, is there a practice of relying on the mind practice?
