The esteemed Kyud Rinpoche brothers, Palri Tulku, Tangdro Tulku, Merak Lama, and many other resident and newly arrived lamas and devotees, began to receive the instructions and transmissions of the Vima Nyingtik. On that day, the sisters Sonam Palzom offered a mandala, along with precious gold and silver ornaments and exquisite earrings, and the venerable father and son made aspirations for them. On the first day of the latter part of the eighth month, introductions were made for the previous guides. On the second day, the Khenpo Lobsang Tashi and the entire monastic community received the instructions and transmissions of the Chöchö Rabsel. That night, for a small gathering including Orgyen Rangdrol, the life-force entrustment of the Wrathful Five Families and the Great Gods was given. On the third day, the root tantra, the Secret Essence, was transmitted to the assembled Dharma students and about forty new monks. At the time of its arrival, the sky was clear and cloudless, and from the west, gentle rainbow clouds appeared, like piles of kusha grass and trees adorned with the splendor of peacock feathers, and other wondrous auspicious signs manifested as a common vision for all beings, placing everyone in a state of amazement.
