Please bless me so that I may not be reborn in lower realms. Please bless me so that I may not forget the four points of mind training (བློ་སྦྱོང་). Please bless me so that I may not stray from the four places of straying After saying the prayer, visualize a red-yellow Tibetan seed syllable ‘വം’ (Tibetan: བཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: वं, Sanskrit Romanization: vaṃ, Literal meaning: vaṃ) in front of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Visualize it dissolving into light and turning into a lotus stem. Visualize the lotus's stamen adorned with jewels and silk, and the Lama and Yidam as inseparable. Then, mentally offer the previous offerings and perform the seven-branch prayer. Pray as before. Then, in a secluded place, on a soft cushion, arrange the body in the seven points of Vairochana (རྣམ་སྣང་ཆོས་བདུན་) or the six dharmas of meditation (བསམ་གཏན་གྱི་ཆོས་དྲུག་), and sit in the vajra posture. Keep the spine straight like a stack of gold coins, and place the hands parallel about four fingers below the navel. Bend the neck like an iron hook, aligning the front and back. Rinse the mouth with water three times to the left, so that the nasal mucus drips directly above the navel. Focus the eyes on the tip of the nose. Leave a space between the teeth that can accommodate a horsehair. Touch the palate with the tongue. Do not close the eyes, as closing them will lead to dullness; do not open them wide, as opening them will lead to distraction. Keep them half-closed like the eyes of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Then, it is said that the awareness should be swirled three times at the navel. Then, thinking, ‘In order to attain Buddhahood for the benefit of all sentient beings, for this purpose, I will practice the death-bed instructions of the Great Vehicle mind training (འཆི་ཁ་མའི་མན་ངག་),’ all the sufferings of samsara arise from the three karmas of good, non-good, and unwavering (དགེ་མི་དགེ་མི་གཡོ་བའི་ལས་གསུམ་). These karmas arise from afflictions The root of the eighty-four thousand afflictions is clinging to ‘I’ (བདག་ཏུ་འཛིན་པ་). Therefore, grasping onto something that has no inherent existence, clinging to ‘I,’ defending ‘I,’ arguing, and creating negative karma. Karma causes us to wander in samsara, experiencing endless and boundless suffering. Even in this life, because of clinging to ‘I,’ defending and arguing, happiness turns into suffering, and good deeds turn into bad deeds. It is all because of our own clinging and arguing. If we do not abandon this clinging to ‘I,’ we will wander in samsara as before. Therefore, do not doubt that what causes us suffering in the past, present, and future is this demon of cherishing the self, the clinging to ‘I’ (ང་བདག་བྱ་བ་འདི་). Because of clinging to ‘I,’ defending and arguing, everything seen, heard, and thought is used by us; there is nothing that is not used.' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

From the perspective of samsara, nothing has lasted very long, so now one should carefully observe what is truly good. One should think that one has seen what is truly good and let go of self-nature. Relax, completely relax. Let the louse remain on the louse. Do not universally abandon other sentient beings in the three realms of samsara. Because they are all kind parents, one should contemplate the suffering of sentient beings ripening on oneself. Contemplate one's own happiness and virtue ripening on sentient beings. These two contemplations should be alternated back and forth. One should also vow to accept the roots of virtue of all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas and contemplate them ripening on sentient beings. In this way, contemplate sentient beings being free from sin and suffering and ultimately attaining Buddhahood. One should also contemplate oneself being free from sin and suffering, and then engage in the visualization and recitation of the Yidam, in the same way as before. After that, if the offerings before the Buddha image are complete, expand the offerings. If the seven-branch offering is complete, expand the seven-branch offering. Pray for blessings so that undeluded Mahayana mind-training realization may arise in my continuum. Pray for blessings so that I may not forget the four points of mind-training. Pray for blessings so that I may not stray into the four places of straying in mind-training. Then, when death comes, at the time of one's last breath, may my mind be clear and without conceptualization, like an autumn sky without clouds, and may all sentient beings be like that. This is combined with the previous contemplation. If the combination is good, like a stream and waterfall connected, it will continue for about a month, and then in the bardo state, one will arise in the Sambhogakaya (enjoyment body). It is said that diligent practitioners can attain Buddhahood in this lifetime. If one cannot attain Buddhahood in this lifetime, one will arise in the bardo state. The bardo body is like a five-year-old child. It has five colors and five forms. If one can recognize that there are eight illusions there, and recognize the illusory nature of duality, then the five poisons will be transformed into the five wisdoms, thereby attaining enlightenment. The Dharmadhatu wisdom and the equality wisdom are the Dharmakaya (truth body). The mirror-like wisdom is the Sambhogakaya (enjoyment body). The accomplishing wisdom and the discriminating wisdom are the Nirmanakaya (emanation body). If one clings to and is attached to the five-colored light, then the five poisons will be transformed into the cause of the six realms of samsara, and one will wander in the six realms, constantly taking birth. It is said that, in general, one can attain Buddhahood after one lifetime, seven lifetimes, or sixteen lifetimes. Compared to beginningless and endless samsara, this is as short as today or tomorrow. It is said that very lazy people need to go through countless rebirths to attain Buddhahood. May the eight-branch mind-training be auspicious! མདྒ་ལ (meaningless) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
