This poem, entitled 'Opening the Eyes of Faith: A Garland of Wonderful Light,' inspired entirely by devout faith, was composed after prolonged prayer before the statue said to have been taken from the flesh of the great Jetsun (Jetsun Chenpo, title of respect for the supreme one) himself and made by his own hands, within the walls of Drok Laphuk Gang, an unrivaled place of accomplishment, by Namkha Samdrub Gyaltsen, a faithless, lazy beggar, in the earth-male-dragon year, the tenth day of the month of miracles (Chotrul, the first month of the Tibetan calendar), three hundred and fourteen years after the great Jetsun's passing.
