In Yungkyor village, he met and served the lama named Yungton. He served him with all his heart. At that time, the lama carefully observed and thought that he should subdue the enemies who were causing harm. So he sent him to Khulung Nubton, where he heard the teachings of Black and Red Planet Demon. With great diligence, he accomplished the wrathful practice in three days, gaining the ability to command the Eight Classes of gods and demons. At the same time, he subdued thirty-five beings and gained a great reputation. The lama felt satisfied like a mother who had given birth to a son, and urged him with a letter attached with rewards. So he again relied on Yungton and practiced the hail-destroying method, causing the crops to fail. After that, he developed a longing for the sacred Dharma. The lama allowed him to go to Nyangto Rinang, rely on Rongton Lhaga, and hear the teachings of Dzogchen. The lama happily gave him a prophecy. When he heard the name of the translator Marpa, he thought that this was his guide from many lifetimes, and he developed a faith that made his hair stand on end. He respectfully went to the master's presence. As soon as they met, he placed the master's lotus feet on his head, and offered his body, speech, mind, and all his possessions as a servant. He prayed that the master would look upon the sinner with compassion, and vowed to follow all instructions. With precious instruments adorned with jewels from all directions, as an offering that had not been defiled, from this auspicious connection, the master saw him as a worthy disciple and prophesied that he would be the heir to the lineage. He cast down hail and killed the master's enemies. For the sake of the master's bedroom, he carried heavy objects on his back. In the mud, he used his body as the master's seat. He did his best to fulfill the master's wishes. In the line of empowerment, he was driven out again and again. The master scolded, slapped, and beat him many times. But he never felt discouraged or depressed, but regarded this as a way to purify his karma. With the permission of Jomo, he went to Rongton. There, he again cast down vajra hail to kill the enemies. He heard and understood the empowerment and teachings of Hevajra. Urged by the great translator, he returned to the master's presence, and the master was very happy, gave him many teachings, and gave him nectar without reservation. He compassionately accepted him. The master gave him the name 'Vajra Banner', let him enter the Buddhist order, and took the vows of a lay devotee. At the time of empowerment, he gave him the secret name 'Laughing Vajra'. He saw the yidam deity in person. He developed a firm belief that the master was Vajradhara. When he practiced diligently, the dakinis prophesied for him, and the glorious Naropa also rejoiced and praised him. He received the single-transmission teachings. In a dream, he saw signs of the flourishing of the Dharma. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
