在无有先后之别、融为一体的状态中，对于知识的对象，过去、现在、未来，十方一切处，不混杂而清晰的智慧，完全圆满地安住。对于世间八法，以带有造作的行为，如幻化般游戏的方式行持。上师帝洛巴（Tilopa）曾多次授记那若巴（Naropa）将会成为他的继承者。上师去世时也说：‘准备供养伟大的上师那若巴降临。’在八十八岁时，示现了身体转变的迁逝之相。在鸡年马月的十四日，太阳升到山顶时，示现了光明本性的迁逝，出现了光芒、声音和无法估量的地震， 显现了三身。如是，玛尔巴译师（Marpa Lotsawa），是具有真实意义恩德者，如众生的光辉般显现。略微讲述他的功德，如同解脱的象征，开启意义，消除疑惑的珍宝明灯。【阿底峡尊者（Atisha）】

In a state of being inseparable and unified, the wisdom of knowing, which is unmixed and clear in all directions of the three times regarding the objects of knowledge, fully and completely abides. Regarding the eight worldly dharmas, he conducts himself with contrived actions, playing like an illusion. The master Tilopa repeatedly prophesied to Naropa that he would become his successor. When the master passed away, he also said, 'Prepare offerings for the arrival of the great master Naropa.' At the age of eighty-eight, he demonstrated the transference of the changing body. On the fourteenth day of the Horse month in the Year of the Bird, as the sun rose over the mountaintop, he demonstrated the transference of the nature of luminosity, and immeasurable light, sound, and earthquakes occurred, manifesting the three kayas. Thus, Marpa Lotsawa, is one who possesses the kindness of true meaning, appearing like the glory of beings.
