May it be so! May thoughts that are not of the sacred Dharma not arise in the mindstream even for a moment! If they should arise, may they not succeed! May I fulfill all the intentions of all the Buddhas of the three times! Thus, pray from the depths of your heart. The very condensed dedication from Lama Gongdu: Lama, Yidam, Dakini, please consider! May all beings, myself and others, dedicate whatever merit has been accumulated through the three doors to the realm of the essence of bodhichitta. May we attain the supreme fruit of ultimate meaning! It is said that whatever virtue, great or small, is done, it should be dedicated at the end. Furthermore, if the Vajra words of Orgyen Rinpoche, the heart essence of the king and subjects, and the new treasures that arise from the ten directions and four times, etc., are accomplished, it will be of great benefit. Whichever of these is liberated, the power of truth to accomplish aspirations, and the names and dharani mantras of the Buddhas, should be recited as they are commonly known. Om dhuru dhuru jaya mukhe svaha. It is said that by reciting it seven times, whatever virtue is done that day will be multiplied by a billion. It is difficult to complete all of these at once, and it is not necessary to do so. However, the yoga of rising, sleeping, and eating is indispensable, and others should be practiced as much as possible. Some practices, such as dispelling obscurations, should be practiced when the time is right. For practitioners who cannot meditate single-pointedly in this day and age, it is very necessary to compile these important points in one place. From the Hearers to the peak of the Unsurpassed Vehicle, even if life is spent hearing and meditating, because of scattered minds and many objects of offering, the feet of time are wasted. I have created a feast for practitioners like myself. Meditators who are distracted by ordinary conduct never have the opportunity to liberate their own minds. Therefore, one should train in the union of the two accumulations of wisdom and merit, which are the result of meditative equipoise. May the reflection of contemplation, like myself, become a medicine that benefits all beings, and may we never be separated from the yoga of the true path, and may we manifest the two siddhis! This was also written by the renunciate Yonten Gyatso Lodro Thaye, in the assembly hall of Shri Heruka, the solitary place of Kunzang Dechen Odsel Ling, for the tantric yogis of the present who desire the union of the two.

With the thought of benefiting all sentient beings, I have compiled these profound and essential instructions, which are of reliable origin and certain lineage. May goodness and prosperity increase! The four practices for those with initial karma, gathered into this essential pith instruction, are due to the pure intention of Drangpa Lama Tenzin Chögyal and Karma Norpel. By the merit of establishing this as a Dharma-giving print, may all faults, downfalls, and obscurations be purified, and may they attain the glorious state of a Dharma king, possessing the supreme treasury of merit and wisdom! This was said by Gusa. May there be auspiciousness and perfection! A compilation of essential instructions, both new and old, necessary for yoga in between sessions, complete with all that is needed.
