The ritual of the Great Liberation Sutra, arranged like a key instruction, eliminates the suffering of sins. The ritual of the Great Liberation Sutra, arranged like a key instruction, eliminates the suffering of sins. The ritual of the Great Liberation Sutra, arranged like a key instruction, called eliminating the suffering of sins, is complete. Namo Guru Shakyamuniye. (Tibetan: ན་མོ་གུ་རུ་ཤཱ་ཀྱ་མུན་ཡེ།,Sanskrit Devanagari: नमो गुरु शाक्य मुनये,Sanskrit Romanization: Namo guru shakya munaye, Literal Chinese meaning: Homage to Guru Shakyamuni). With great compassion in the realm of sentient beings, satisfying all beings with the nectar of peace and coolness, the sole friend of saving beings, King Shakya, most extraordinary among all Buddhas, I prostrate to him. Especially for beings who have declined due to sins, the king of rituals for confessing sins, the method of practice, following the key instructions. If a being obtains a human body and encounters the precious teachings of the Buddha, it is like a poor person finding a wish-fulfilling jewel. And above that, practicing the sacred Dharma is of great significance and is the most rare of the rare. At this time, in order to quickly achieve Buddhahood, possessing great significance, reading the Great Liberation Sutra, the ritual for confessing past sins is divided into three parts: Explaining the true meaning of the Sutra, distinguishing the rituals of key instructions, and elaborating on the order of practice. The first part: As the person of reliance, whether a householder or a renunciant, is acceptable. Bathing and cleansing actions are extremely pure, abiding in temporal and permanent rules. The residence is decorated with all kinds of ornaments, smeared with fragrance, and on the platform, the supports of body, speech, and mind and offerings are arranged as much as possible. Refuge, bodhicitta, blessing the ground, invitation, seating, etc., are preceded as in common rituals. From the beginning to the end of the Sutra itself, read in order and actually prostrate. Recite the Dharani one hundred and eight times and circumambulate seven times. Confession, etc., are also read completely as in the usual ritual, six times day and night, without distracting the mind elsewhere. After doing this for seven days, finally, like the "Samantabhadra's Aspiration," make the seven-branch offering completely and extensively dedicate and pray. The invited deities return to their positions, and wishing auspiciousness will complete it. The second part, the early translation all

Since I wish to practice the ritual of this sutra based on the meaning of the Compendium of Knowledge Sutra, which is explained as the first mandala in the branch of the River of Tantras. Therefore, the discipline and cleanliness of the individual who is the basis (the practitioner), and the decoration of the residence, etc., are the same as before. On a clean platform that has been scrubbed with cow dung and good fragrances, draw the Mount Meru mandala, with a white four-petaled lotus in the center, and the four petals in the colors of the four directions. The Mount Meru is surrounded by seven golden mountains and seven pleasure lakes alternating. Behind that, the three continents of the East are white crescent-shaped, the three continents of the South are blue trapezoids, the three continents of the West are red circles, and the three continents of the North are yellow squares. The outer perimeter is surrounded by a blue iron fence, and outside the iron fence is a circular corridor with four gates surrounded by green walls, with horse paths omitted. The inner corridor of the gate is blue with headless patterns, and the outer environment is white. Outside the walls, the offerings and so on are the same as before. Outside the arrow shaft is a precious ground environment, decorated with trees and bathing ponds, etc., and finally surrounded by stone walls and rays of light. Whether it is painted with colored powder or cloth, whichever is convenient. In the center of the four lotus petals and on the four petals, place the body representations of the five Buddhas. If not complete, place a statue of Shakyamuni Buddha in the center. The speech representation is a scripture. The mind representation is a white tsa-tsa, with the number equal to the number of people or their respective ages, surrounding the outer perimeter of the mandala. Outside the perimeter, place vessels for offering water, foot washing water, etc., and if conditions permit, you can place one hundred and eight, etc., as many as you can, but they must be clean and tidy. In front, place a clean and decorated offering of food and a torma for the deceased, as well as three portions of food. Place all the implements such as the vajra bell, incense burner, and scattered flowers in front of you. Then begin the actual ritual. First, bathe with water that has been recited with mantras. If you are a householder, take the Mahayana sojong from the Meaningful Cord Sutra. Even if you are a monastic, doing so will become a favorable condition for goodness. After that, visualize all the noble ones of the ten directions as if they were present, and with "Having compassion for all sentient beings," etc., from the Ornament of Clear Realization or a common praise of the Buddhas such as a verse of one or four lines, make a request beforehand, prostrate, and then sit on the seat. Abandon clinging to self, person, sentient being, etc.
