That is to say, no external factors can overwhelm it. Just like a diamond, it destroys all things. Therefore, this samadhi will also destroy all conceptualizations of characteristics. Therefore, one should generate diligence in practice and strive to cultivate it. The third part is followed by four parts: the introduction to the four yogas, the practice of the five desirable qualities, the examination of the interdependence of the measurement standard, and the blessings of the Great Sage. The first part, the introduction to the four yogas, has four: the yoga of emptiness, the yoga of equality, the yoga of inexpressibility, and the yoga of non-conceptualization. The first, the yoga of emptiness, is: completely abandoning all conceptualizations that cling to reality, and cultivating the yoga like a flowing river in this profound emptiness, inexpressible state. As it is said in the Bodhicaryāvatāra: 'By increasing the habit of emptiness, one can abandon the habit of things.' Therefore, one should strive to practice. The second, the yoga of equality, is: the emptiness cultivated in this way, if analyzed, should not be considered as truly empty, because it is unreasonable to consider appearances as false. Both appearance and emptiness are free from all extremes of clinging to reality.

If asked, 'What is that?' it is that which has nothing to say and no way to answer. Fourth, the non-conceptual yoga is: Having cut off all the elaborations of the previous three yogas, one meditates on all dharmas without conceptualizing them, which is merely called meditation. Since it is not meditating on the elaborations of signs and characteristics, one does not look at, think of, contemplate, examine, or conceptualize any dharma. Instead, one rests single-pointedly in a state of effortless, great ease. Second, the practice of the path of the five sense pleasures: Among the five sense pleasures, first, when the eye sees a pleasing form, one is not attached to it nor averse to it; when one sees an unpleasant form, one does not generate disgust or the thought of abandoning it; and when one sees a neutral, unexpressed form, one decides that the nature of these three is emptiness, the great seal, inseparable deep clarity, and one practices accordingly. Similarly, for sounds heard by the ear, smells smelled by the nose, tastes tasted by the tongue, and tactile sensations felt by the body, each of these four should be practiced in the same way as before. Third, examining the interdependence of the measure of attainment, there are two aspects: attainment and completion. First, attainment is: The yogi, striving in the continuous stream of yoga practice like a river, will experience unbearable miracles on the body, speech, and mind, either in experience or in dreams. This includes physical illnesses, mental afflictions, visions of gods and demons, and various fears. There will also be countless interpersonal disputes, conflicts, arguments, lawsuits, and so on. Therefore, one should strive in fearless practice regarding these as well. Second, completion is: Like this, by taking gods and demons as the path, and by taking whatever obstacles and illnesses arise as aids, one directly transforms appearances into the path. The dry dharma is cut off from the water, and one no longer expects future results. All obstacles and hindrances are enjoyed as accomplishments. The measure of completion is that only the desire to abandon this life arises. One reduces the need for food, clothing, and talk. If one makes life and practice equal, then both aims will be spontaneously accomplished. Fourth, the blessing of the Great Sage is the concluding teaching of the instruction, and it should be done as explained in the commentary. Nowadays, the subsequent permission of the Great Sage, which arises from the Torma Stream Ocean, is being performed. Commentary: This is from the nine profound instruction dharma cycles of the glorious Bo Dong Kagyu, the glorious Victorious Great Sage.

This is the intermediate practice guide of the Chöd practice, as spoken by the Panchen Lama. It was well-written in the Ngon Ga Dechen chamber of Melong Tashi Rabten Dechen Chokhor Ling by the non-religious yogi Pema Gargyi Wangchuk in the black month of the subjugation year (Tibetan calendar year) on the second victorious day of the white side. The scribe is the yogi Tenpa Rabgye. By this virtue, may I and all sentient beings realize the meaning of indivisible, pure, and indestructible wisdom in this very life. May this also cause the precious teachings of the Victorious Ones to flourish, increase, and remain for a long time in all directions, times, and places! The Great Sage's Chöd Red Offering Oral Instructions Om Svasti! At the time of the Great Sage's Chöd, the oral instructions for the red offering are: By saying "Phat," Vajravarahi emanates from one's heart and cuts open one's body from the forehead to the soles of the feet with a curved knife. On top of that, which is equal to three thousand worlds, Phat! Pile up the heads on one side. Phat! Pile up the limbs on one side. Phat! Pile up the hearts on one side. Phat! Pile up the lungs and other internal organs on one side. Visualize all the cavities filled with blood. After blessing with the three syllables Om Ah Hum, invite the guests: Oh! From the peak of existence to the lowest Naraka hell realm. From the assembly of gods in the sky to the hungry ghosts below the earth. From the White Brahma King to the local ghosts and Rakshasas. May all the gods and demons of appearance and existence gather here! Oh oh! Eighteen chief demons, fifteen child demons, male demon king, female Rakshasi, old former ghosts, new present ghosts, wandering local ghosts. Those who initially lead to disease, those who hold the nest of disease in the middle, and those who ultimately do not benefit from the disease. Flesh-eating ghosts, death demons, rebellious evil retinues, may all those with wrong views gather here! Oh! I give you all, without any reservation, from the crown of my head to the soles of my feet, the five senses, the five vital organs, the five inner organs, flesh and bones, blood and pus, etc. Take it! Eat it!
