The Sixteenth Volume of the Instructions Treasury: The Root Verses of the Vajra Words of the Quintessential Three Meanings Instructions, Composed by the Great Accomplished One, Mitra Joki. The Sixteenth Volume of the Instructions Treasury. The Root Verses of the Vajra Words of the Quintessential Three Meanings Instructions, Composed by the Great Accomplished One, Mitra Joki. The Root Verses of the Vajra Words of the Quintessential Three Meanings Instructions, Composed by the Great Accomplished One, Mitra Joki, are respectfully presented. Namo Guruve. There are three meanings in explaining this instruction. First, the concise explanation: In this life, meditate on the continuous Yidam. At the time of death, meditate on the instructions of transference. In the Bardo, meditate on blending. Continuous meditation is the key to everything. Second, the extensive explanation has three parts: The essence of practice in this life is to meditate on the continuous Yidam. The essence of practice at the time of death is to meditate on transference. The essence of practice in the Bardo is to meditate on blending. The first also has four parts: First, the instruction to instill motivation: After remembering impermanence and suffering. Second, the cause is to generate the supreme Bodhicitta: Great compassion is generated intensely. Third, the instruction to supplicate the Guru and Yidam: Guru on the crown of the head, Yidam in the heart. Fourth, the instruction to meditate on the essence of one's own mind as unborn: One's own mind should be meditated upon as unborn. The second also has four parts: First, offering the illusory body as a feast: After offering one's own body as a sacrifice. Second, cutting the ties of the mind: Abandon all dependence oneself. Third, distinguishing the great path of liberation: Through the union of the channels of light. Fourth, transferring consciousness upwards: Consciousness is transferred to the Tushita heaven. The third also has four parts: First, the antidote to not recognizing the Bardo, to be kept in mind: This should be known in the Bardo. Second, the antidote to clinging to the Bardo as ordinary, to be kept in mind: Transform the outer, inner, and secret. Third, the antidote to taking rebirth through attachment and aversion, to be kept in mind: Through the yoga of emptiness and compassion. Fourth, the antidote to the uncertainty of rebirth, to be kept in mind: The wise combine rebirth. Third, concluding with the instructions of the three: view, meditation, and action: Whatever arises, recognizing it is the key to the view. Not being distracted from it is the key to meditation. Mindfulness and awareness are the key to action. Of the great accomplished ones.
