The Sixteenth Volume of Instructions: The Root of Mahamudra Mind at Rest Combined with Sutra Teachings. The Sixteenth Volume of Instructions. The Root of Mahamudra Mind at Rest Combined with Sutra Teachings. The Root of Mahamudra Mind at Rest Combined with Sutra Teachings is complete. Introduction to Mind at Rest, spoken from the chapter on Noble Dharma in the Eight Thousand Verses: Emaho! Primordially unborn, the cause of samsara and nirvana, not other, residing in the center of one's own heart, may it be known from the guru's face. The meaning of this is as follows: All dharmas are equality itself, therefore the Prajnaparamita is equality itself. Likewise: Whatever arises is the innate nature, therefore, whatever appears, if not forgotten by mindfulness, then that appearance is emptiness itself. The king of yogis is not consumed by demons. All dharmas are solitude itself, therefore the Prajnaparamita is solitude itself. Whatever appears is all of it, but it has not appeared anywhere. Therefore, whatever is born is unborn, the unborn nature is the way of birth. All dharmas are immovability itself, therefore the Prajnaparamita is immovability itself. Right extended, left contracted, pointing with a threatening mudra, looking with vajra eyes, Like a supreme horse going and coming slowly, from many places making one. All dharmas are conceit itself, therefore the Prajnaparamita is non-conceit itself. Feet placed on the great ocean, hands wandering all over the earth, eyes should look at the sky, and the mind should not waver anywhere. All dharmas are non-pride itself, therefore the Prajnaparamita is non-pride itself. A flirtatious woman, a mirror, a giant of strength, a queen, A sweeper and a prostitute, alone, yet acting as if with friends. All dharmas are one taste itself, therefore the Prajnaparamita is one taste itself. Like a tiger, lion, elephant, Yak, lute, monkey, sandalwood tree, corpse, the wise should practice emptiness sleep yoga. All dharmas are limitlessness itself, therefore the Prajnaparamita is limitlessness itself. Steep mountain, Water and great ocean, only child and mother, and the care of an elephant, like a snow mountain and crystal, abiding in detachment from objects. All dharmas are

Due to the nature of being unborn, the Prajñāpāramitā is the nature of being unborn. Initially, in the middle, and at the end, proceeding in order, Root, essence, devoid of action, Like a lamp in a dream. Accomplished through the unwavering habit of compassion. Due to the nature of all dharmas being unceasing, the Prajñāpāramitā is the nature of being unceasing. The coming and going place is the place of birth and cessation, Purity, emptiness, are the three aspects, Great bliss, luminosity, non-conceptual, The wise abide in equality. Due to the nature of space being infinite, the Prajñāpāramitā is the nature of being infinite. Placing great compassion in front, Without straying from it, constantly observing, Through the union of deities and gurus, The practitioner finds rest. Due to the nature of the ocean being infinite, the Prajñāpāramitā is the nature of being infinite. Son, where do you discriminate? Here, I am neither bound nor liberated, Without distraction, without fabrication, naturally, Alas, may the weary find rest! Due to the nature of Mount Meru being diverse, the Prajñāpāramitā is the nature of being diverse. Images resemble forms and fragments of rocks, Real objects and the mind that remembers in dreams, Connected with samadhi, Is the practice of meditating on cessation. Due to the nature of space being non-conceptual, the Prajñāpāramitā is the nature of being non-conceptual. Individual discrimination and detachment from support, Constantly and continuously meditating, Like gold, like fire, like space, It knows, pacifies, and purifies. The nature of form being infinite, the Prajñāpāramitā is the nature of being infinite. Without appearance, that appearance appears due to conditions, Space is like a mirror, like glass, With samadhi and wisdom, Through the door of dharani, it is realized. Likewise, the nature of feeling, perception, volition, and consciousness being infinite, the Prajñāpāramitā is the nature of being infinite. What is seen is equanimity, luminosity, At that time, seeing that, that is unborn, Extremely non-conceptual, abiding in one-pointedness, Free from the dust of distraction. The nature of the earth element being infinite, the Prajñāpāramitā is the nature of being infinite. Wherever the wind goes, the mind goes there, That body is forcibly confined within the house, If the man of mind is killed, Without that, where will the mind go? Likewise, the water element, the fire element, the wind element, all self-
