It is said that in the oral tradition, 'kha 'phang' was also performed during fierce activities such as body offering, and the situation is indeed like that. In addition, the Dharma called "The Essence of the Path: Detailed Notes on the Demon Realm of Severance," the lineage of its oral instructions and guidance still exists, and it is sufficient to practice it without modification, and no other 'kha 'phang' is needed. In general, this profound instruction of the Demon Realm of Severance, even practitioners of the lower vehicles such as hearers and solitary realizers, can slightly understand the meaning of the selflessness of the person. Intermediate practitioners, from the Prajnaparamita Sutras of the wheel of no characteristics, reverse the clinging to both phenomena and person, thereby realizing the profound emptiness like space, and arising in the hearts of noble Bodhisattvas. Finally, from the Sutras that establish the definitive meaning, the Tathagatagarbha is revealed, which is the essence of wisdom that is unrelated to destruction, decrease, or increase, and as it is, in the Tantras of both new and old Mantras, the intention of the Great Mother who gives rise to the Four Noble Ones is also explained, that is, the meaning of manifesting the original co-emergent great bliss, the nature of the four bodies and five wisdoms, and its means, such as secret conduct, consort practice, etc., all aspects of the path of skillful means and wisdom are completely explained. One must practice from the depths of one's heart by knowing its truth. If it is not like that, merely thinking that it is for pacifying diseases, evil spirits, and adversities of this life, and for gaining fame, profit, offerings, etc., and doing some minor practice, one will go down the three wrong paths of severance, and will not transform self-clinging, the four maras, etc., the six realms of beings into the path. Therefore, do not be like that, first, cut off as much as possible the attachment and clinging to wealth, happiness, etc. of this life, which become the cause of the four maras. Second, cut off as much as possible the various conceptual thoughts of karma, affliction, and delusion. Finally, cut off all the habitual tendencies of pride, duality, and delusion in the Dharmadhatu, thereby directly realizing the intention of the luminous Dharmakaya, the unborn Great Mother, and ultimately attaining complete Buddhahood. And, in the temporary state, one must also benefit limitless beings through the four activities. Therefore, one should practice in this way. Thus, this clear note on severance is also for increasing the well-being of Buddhism and beings, from the heart essence lineage of the holy Dampa Sangye.

Upon the command of the supreme emanation of Garwang, the crown jewel of the Urgyen Kagyu lineage, to act in this way, the Wish-Fulfilling King of Power is placed as an ornament on the crown of the head. This was done by the old monk Tenzin Namdak. Due to old age and unclear eyesight, it was spoken sequentially, and the Shakya junior monk Yeshe Wangden wrote it down. By the virtue of this accumulation, may the general Buddhist teachings and the essential teachings flourish, may the feet of the holders of the teachings remain firm, and especially may this supreme and precious lama remain on the unchanging Vajra throne for hundreds of kalpas, and may the four activities effortlessly and spontaneously expand to benefit all beings throughout space. May the essential teachings of the practice lineage increase to the limitless expanse of the sky. May it be auspicious!
