Yogis, if you want to realize, go to him. Thus it is said. There are four great pillars: Nagarjuna and Lui-pa, Samantabhadri Lavapa. Tilopa Nagaraja, gave it to Lama Naropa. Jowo Chenpo Naropa, recited the seven letters one million times, the earth shook and he received the prophecy. He searched for Tilopa in the eastern direction, and found Tilopa in Trama Shila. He relied on him for twelve years. He practiced twelve kinds of hardships, and not a moment of disrespect arose. With grass mats, bamboo forests, using the body as a bridge, in fields, kings, queens, ministers, consorts, teaching Dharma at midnight, tsogkhor, vegetables, relatives, and the three fires, these are the twelve kinds of hardships. In the end, he offered a mandala, and requested the granting of pith instructions. Tilopa stared with both eyes, and kicked Naropa's forehead with his shoe. Lama Naropa fainted for a moment, and after fainting and just waking up, all the Tripitaka scriptures and tantras, all the words and meanings appeared clearly in his heart. Immediately he spoke of Tummo A-thung, recognized the nature of mind as Dharmakaya, and also spoke the song of the four characteristics. Thus, from the blessing of the lineage, the two teachers and disciples departed separately. After that, Lama Naropa, in that Pullahari monastery, practiced realization for twelve years.

He realized the power of the pulses, opening the treasure of the whispered lineage of secret mantras. He taught and blessed, being the master of the scriptures, Rongton. In his youth, he heard the teachings of the Nyingma school, and then went to Marpa's place, requesting both the tantras and the key instructions. He directly saw the mandala, wheel, and three abodes of the fifteen selflessness goddesses. Thus, the key instructions of the two were that the venerable one of Mangong retreat, who had very few worldly affairs, went to U-Tsang to seek power, went to Marpa's place, and after learning power, went up to Tsangrong. From a person named Tonpa Lhaga, he heard the supreme Dharma of the Great Perfection. Then he went to the presence of the venerable Marpa, requesting both the tantras and the key instructions, and consulted with the master Rong. Then he went to the Gungtang area, meditating behind the village for one winter. After that, he frequented various hermitages. After three years, he accomplished tummo (inner heat). Signs of meditation arose at the sacred site of Gungtang. The son of an old couple who had no descendants offered three bre of barley and a jar of butter, as well as a portion of meat. The master went to the outer snow mountain. Hail-like snow fell in winter, and he stayed in the snow for three months. In spring, he went to the village to look for people. The master had not passed away and was still living there, which amazed those who were looking for him. Then he asked to go to the village, and the master sang the song of the snow mountain. Then, with one patron and servant, when going to Pal Droka, they met many merchants on the road. The merchants entered before the master. The master sang the song of Sba Ber. In the sky in the Brin area, he came riding a lion. When a woman prayed, he traveled three times a day inside her cow horn. One patron saw a stupa. He walked in the expanse of the sky, and fell from a cliff but was unharmed. Every year, he secretly offered, and the story of being satisfied with food, as well as flying on the snowy path, dakinis coming to beg for food, possessing immeasurable qualities, and attaining the accomplishment of Mahamudra. The one who blessed with exemplary key instructions was the venerable Lhaje of Nyal, with the steadfast mountain king of faith. From the age of twenty-six, he completed the study of higher discipline. To the one named Jangsem Loden, after requesting the key instructions and meditating, at the age of thirty, higher
