Listening to the Dharma by abandoning the three faults, keeping it in mind, and in short, acting without being controlled by the five poisons and other eight worldly concerns. Second, explaining the aspects of the difficulty of obtaining leisure and endowment. Third, explaining the aspect of impermanence, that even if obtained, it is of no benefit. Fourth, explaining the cause and effect, that at the time of death, the happiness and suffering of karma are immeasurable. Fifth, explaining the faults of samsara, that even if immeasurable merits of the heavens are obtained through acceptance and rejection, one has not transcended samsara. This gives rise to the inability to separate from practice. The order of these explanations should be understood elsewhere. These five Dharma topics are the order of transforming the mind into Dharma. Second, to make the Dharma into a path, the preliminaries are completed through six aspects. Among them, first, explaining the three types of bodhicitta, and in particular, explaining the bodhicitta like that of a shepherd, the supreme pure intention, and guiding meditation. Second, explaining the aspects of taking refuge and guiding the practice of taking refuge. Third, explaining the aspects of the mandala and guiding meditation. Fourth, explaining the aspects of Vajrasattva and guiding the practice. Fifth, bestowing the four empowerments that open the door to the Dharma. Sixth, explaining the guru yoga, the root of both common and supreme attainments, and guiding meditation. Its aspects should be understood and explained elsewhere. These complete the order of the preliminaries. Second, from the perspective of the main practice, making the Dharma into a path is twofold: the order that mainly shows the method and the order that mainly shows wisdom. The order that mainly shows the method has four aspects: the Six Dharmas of Naropa, the non-duality of Naropa's wind and mind, the introduction to Naropa's three bodies. These are also common Dharmas, and since it is itself a single path, there is also the instruction on making Naropa's messenger into a path, making four in total. The order of these instructions is also the same up to the guru yoga, and with the guru yoga as the foundation, guiding according to their respective texts, until the reality of the Great Seal is not realized, guiding through various methods. Second, the order that mainly shows wisdom has three aspects: coemergent union, direct breakthrough, and the single path that cuts through. The order of these is also the same up to the guru yoga, and thereafter, with the guru yoga as the foundation, through their respective stages of visualization, until the view of the Great Seal has not arisen in the mindstream, guiding.
