The Sixth Volume of the Instructions Treasury. The Lamp of Elucidation, Nectar Essence, Dharma Body Pointing Instructions, a Written Record of the Great Seal Co-emergent Union Instructions. The Sixth Volume of the Instructions Treasury. The Lamp of Elucidation, Nectar Essence, Dharma Body Pointing Instructions, a Written Record of the Great Seal Co-emergent Union Instructions. Herein is the introduction to The Lamp of Elucidation, Nectar Essence, Dharma Body Pointing Instructions, a Written Record of the Great Seal Co-emergent Union Instructions. May there be well-being, accomplishment, hūṃ). I prostrate and take refuge in the feet of the glorious and holy Lama, inseparable from the all-pervading Vajradhara, the source of all experience, realization, and qualities. Please grant your blessings. Here, in order to practice this, which is known as the Great Seal Co-emergent Union, the undiminished tradition of the precious Kagyu, a means to attain the uncommon state of union, Vajradhara, in one lifetime, one body, the warmth of the blessings and the breath of the dakinis not yet faded from the whispered lineage passed down from the great Vajradhara to the victorious Könchok Yenlak, it is done in three parts: preliminaries, main practice, and conclusion. The first has three parts: common preliminaries, uncommon preliminaries, and special preliminaries. The first is contemplating the difficulty of finding leisure and opportunity, contemplating death and impermanence, contemplating karma and its results, contemplating the faults of samsara. The first is: If one is to practice a truly excellent holy Dharma, for example, if one pours lion's milk into an ordinary container, the container will break and the milk will be wasted, so one needs an excellent container or basis. The most excellent of bases is the precious human body of leisure and opportunity. It is extremely fortunate to have obtained such a precious human body at this time. This is because in the past one accumulated many collections, guarded the ten non-virtues at the cost of one's life, embraced the ten virtues, and created immeasurable merit. It is not obtained by chance or as a random occurrence without cause, so it is difficult to obtain from the point of view of cause. Wall

It's like scattering peas on a (steep) slope, or throwing a single piece of wood with a hole into the vast ocean. Is it possible that a turtle living there, who only sticks its head out once every hundred years, could get its neck into the hole of the wood? Or, the possibility of finding an udumbara flower is as rare as it gets, almost impossible to find even through analogies. The three lower realms are like the dust of the great earth, while the opportunity to obtain a human body is like the dust on a fingernail. This human body with leisure and opportunity is as rare as a speck of dust. Even so, most people engage in unwholesome deeds, and very few engage in wholesome deeds, so they are more likely to be reborn in the lower realms. In general, among all the higher realms (good destinies), obtaining a human body in which one can practice virtue is extremely rare and scarce, so it is difficult to find in terms of numbers. This kind of body, which we have now obtained, is both difficult to obtain and easy to destroy, so if this human life is wasted, and we are reborn in the lower realms in the next life, we will fall into a bottomless pit from which there is no escape. Therefore, without being distracted for even a moment, we must focus on virtuous deeds with strong diligence, and resolve to seize the right path, and do everything possible to turn our minds towards the Dharma. This is the first session. Second, meditating on impermanence: If you do not meditate on impermanence, you will not turn your mind away from this life. If you do not turn your mind away from this life, you will not be able to abandon the eight worldly concerns, and therefore you will not be liberated from samsara, and you will not generate special realizations and experiences. Therefore, to counteract this, meditate on impermanence: the way the outer world of the environment is formed, the way it abides in the middle, and the way it is destroyed in the end without leaving even a trace. In terms of time, morning, evening, noon, night, etc., are unstable even for a moment. In terms of seasons, winter, spring, summer, autumn, etc., are also changing and impermanent. Therefore, all conditioned phenomena cannot transcend the nature of destruction and change. The inner sentient beings are also the same: just born, young children, adults, old age, all of them cannot avoid death in the end. Death also does not know when it will come, there is no certainty that it will not die today or tomorrow. Now that we are alive, there are many cases where life is suddenly ended and turned into a corpse due to unforeseen factors such as planets, poisons, weapons, fire, water, cliffs, etc. And, no matter how long one lives, one cannot live beyond a hundred years. Even so, one-third of life has already passed, and we are heading towards death. Our previous
