It is said that one needs to understand the ways in which the three, etc., arise and cease. Furthermore, in order to realize the key points of the ground, path, and fruition, it seems necessary to understand all the ways of what is to be purified, what purifies, and the result of purification. Therefore, it is very important to first establish these through hearing and thinking, etc., otherwise, it should be understood. The second part is divided into three: the preliminaries of the teaching sequence, the main practice of the meditation sequence, and the way to cultivate practice afterward. The first part is divided into two: the common preliminaries and the uncommon preliminaries. The first part is: to guide according to the three types of individuals' stages of the path, such as the difficulty of finding leisure and endowment, and contemplating impermanence, so as to generate renunciation, detachment, loving-kindness, compassion, the mind of enlightenment, etc., and thereby establish the foundation of Dharma. The second part is: to fully bestow the four empowerments in the mandala of the deity, such as Chakrasamvara, and ripen them. Then, purify ordinary appearances and attachments by meditating on the yoga of the generation stage, etc. Here, too, as special preliminaries: To counteract laziness, contemplate impermanence; to clear obstacles, take refuge and generate the mind of enlightenment; to accumulate merit, offer the mandala; to purify obscurations, practice the meditation and recitation of Vajrasattva; to receive blessings, practice the guru yoga. It is said that these should be done, so one should strive to do each for five or seven days, etc., and the details can be learned from other sources. The second part is the main practice of the meditation sequence, which is divided into six aspects: the root of the path - the instructions on tummo; the foundation of the path - the instructions on the illusory body; the warmth of the path - the instructions on dream yoga; the essence of the path - the instructions on clear light; the support of the path - the instructions on the bardo; the decisive point of the path - the instructions on transference of consciousness. The first part is divided into five aspects: causing what has not arisen to arise, causing what has arisen to become stable, causing what is stable to increase, introducing and cultivating experience, and the ways in which signs and qualities manifest. The first part is divided into five aspects: purifying the empty space, purifying the channels, purifying the winds, purifying the bindus, and purifying the body. The first part is: practice the special preliminaries and, during the guru yoga, strongly pray for the arising of the realization of tummo. The essential posture is the vajra posture with legs crossed, or if unable, the bodhisattva posture. The hands form the mudra of equipoise at the navel.

Tighten the buttocks to the width of four fingers. Straighten the spine and tighten the whole body. Stretch the arms and elbows straight without bending. Bend the neck slightly. Touch the tip of the tongue to the upper palate, leaving a slight gap between the teeth, and close the lips. Look straight at the tip of the nose, which is the seven-point posture of Vairochana. Then, visualize yourself as the deity of self-born supreme bliss or the sole hero, etc. Visualize the inside of the entire body from the crown of the head to the soles of the feet and the ends of all the fingers as completely empty, as if filled with reeds. If you cannot visualize emptiness all at once, then gradually visualize each part as empty, starting from the crown of the head. If you can visualize it clearly, then visualize the body as small as a mustard seed and as large as filling the entire world, and practice until the visualization becomes very clear. Secondly, then in the center of the empty body of the deity, visualize the central channel (Umayanaḍī) as thick as a medium-sized whip. On the right is the Romayanaḍī and on the left is the Kyamayanaḍī, both as thick as arrow shafts. The lower ends of the three channels merge into one at a point four fingers below the navel, shaped like the end of the Tibetan letter 'cha'. The upper ends curve forward from the crown of the head, with the central channel connecting to the space between the eyebrows, and the Romayanaḍī and Kyamayanaḍī connecting to the two nostrils. The central channel is white on the outside and red on the inside, the Romayanaḍī is red with a white glow, and the Kyamayanaḍī is white with a red glow, with a thickness of an arrow shaft between the three channels. All three channels are clear in color, bright in radiance, thin, and empty inside, possessing four characteristics. The Romayanaḍī and Kyamayanaḍī are slightly twisted like sheep intestines, and should be visualized clearly. Here, some say that the central channel is as thick as an arrow shaft, and the Romayanaḍī and Kyamayanaḍī are as thick as wheat stalks; others say that all three channels are as thick as wheat stalks; still others say that the central channel is blue, the Romayanaḍī is red, and the Kyamayanaḍī is white; others say that all three channels are white on the outside and red on the inside; others say that all three channels are white or red, etc. Any of these is acceptable. Some also say that the upper end of the central channel connects to the Brahma aperture and the lower end connects to the secret place, but for now, follow the previous explanation. After visualizing clearly, visualize the emanation wheel at the navel, with sixty-four petals; the Dharma wheel at the heart, with eight petals; the enjoyment wheel at the throat, with sixteen petals; and the great bliss wheel at the crown of the head, with thirty-two petals, all emanating from the central channel, like the handle and ribs of an umbrella, and the petals of the navel and throat are curved like the ribs of an umbrella.
