Cannot be established with words and concepts. There is no hope or fear, no acceptance or rejection, no negation or affirmation. Like pointing to the moon with a finger, It is only relying on words to indicate. If even the actual meaning itself is not established, how can such a Dharma be taught? If there is, then it should be seen through the teaching. Although the speaker can explain the meaning, It is pitiful if the mind follows the words. To that which transcends existence and non-existence, To the emptiness that is devoid of the two extremes of permanence and annihilation, Even if it is indicated once with words, For such a nature, how can a form body arise? Regarding the Buddha's skillful intention, some say it arises from that. But I do not agree with that. If so, how does it arise? The arising of the two form bodies, Is when the appearances of sentient beings are pure, By the power of past aspirations, As they dwell, Each appears separately. Since it is an appearance, it is not that itself. If said to ordinary people, they will be frightened. The Buddha does not abandon the benefit of sentient beings, how could the Dharma disappear? This which purifies the defilements of conceptual thought, Is taught for the sake of the disciples. Having spoken the words, put them into practice. I have no way to speak of experience. Some say, condense what is spoken extensively. Therefore, it is stopped with easy-to-understand words. The Dharma called "Purifying the Defilements of Conceptual Thought" is written by the Venerable Milarepa, and is now complete. The Introduction to the Great Seal Wisdom Illuminating. Homage to all the virtuous Lamas. This instruction of the Great Seal Wisdom Illuminating, In it, the nature of the Great Seal is shown in three parts: The Ground Great Seal, the Path Great Seal, The Fruit Great Seal. Firstly, the reality of the nature of things, is the Buddha's intention, the Dharma-nature of sentient beings, not established as color and shape, not established as edge and center, free from vastness and bias, never existed, never not existed, never confused, never liberated, not produced by cause, not transformed by condition, not fabricated by the Buddha's expertise, not confused by sentient beings' ignorance, not becoming better by realization, not becoming worse by confusion, this abides in the Ground, therefore it is the Ground Great Seal. The Path Great Seal is, it is enough to practice on that Ground. When settling, settle without object. When abiding, abide without distraction. When acting, act without grasping. When arising, arise as Dharma-nature. When liberating, go in self-liberation, this is one essential of practice. The Fruit Great Seal.

The Great (Mahamudra) is: being free from what is to be liberated and the liberator, being free from hope and fear, because of the exhaustion of mind and the exhaustion of dharma, without grasping and attachment, and transcending mind, therefore being beyond thought and expression. It is practicing the three, ground, path, and fruit, as inseparable. The oral instructions of Mahamudra, the Illuminator of Wisdom, were composed by the venerable Mila the Yogi. The seventh volume of the Treasury of Instructions, a precious collection of profound path Mahamudra and the treatises of the Six Dharmas of Naropa, the Treasury of Precious Gems of Definite Meaning.
