He composed the treatise called "Accomplishment of the Great Seal of the Inconceivable Stages." Then it was passed on to Shinglopa, Karnapa, and Hero Vajra. After that, the translator Drogmi Lotsawa Shakya Yeshe heard it. Then, Seton Kunrig, Gonpa Chobar, Sachen Kunga Nyingpo, the bridge of transmission unbroken, came down to Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo, the all-knowing, and all the streams of pith instructions and precepts descended together. Secondly, regarding the pith instructions themselves, there are three points: establishing the view at the time of the cause; generating and cultivating samadhi at the time of the path; and manifesting wisdom at the time of the result. Through these, the complete and unerring path for one person to attain enlightenment in one lifetime is shown. Among these, first, establishing the view, as the basis of the pith instructions, there are four points: establishing the support of the pith instructions; the time to recognize it; the thought to measure it; and the valid cognition to establish it. If each of these is further divided, they become twelve. First, establishing the support, there are three: body, speech, and mind. The gross aspect of the body is the body with the sensory basis, the subtle aspect is the three main channels inside; the gross aspect of speech is that which can be labeled with terms such as speaking and laughing, the subtle aspect is the three airs of rising, entering, and abiding, and the sounds of the three letters; for the mind, the support is the essence of the nine constituents, which transforms into the nectar of bodhicitta, abiding in the channels, and what is relied upon is the clear light of self-awareness wisdom. Among these, the nature of body and speech is mind, and mind relies on body and speech to exist, therefore, as long as body and mind are not separated, the three, body, speech, and mind, are mutually dependent and are of one essence. By establishing the mind alone, since the two, body and speech, have no other dharma than mind, they are naturally established. Among these, establishing the mind, although there is no difference from the perspective of essence, from the perspective of negation, there are five inconceivable aspects: the characteristic is inconceivable, unmixed and completely perfect. Everything is the single experience of the mind, although the kind is the same, due to the different ways of realizing the essence, the paths of external non-Buddhists, and the paths of internal Buddhists, and for these, various philosophical tenets appear due to their respective desires and attachments. The qualities are inconceivable, like a wish-fulfilling jewel.

Just as with large objects, the single essence, through the convergence of skillful means, gives rise to whatever is needed for each; and like the disc of the sun, the essence is one, yet due to environmental factors, many different appearances arise. Similarly, the nature of reality itself, without wavering from its own essence, appears in various forms such as paths and tenets, in accordance with the dispositions and faculties of those to be trained. This is like the disc of the sun appearing only in the sky, yet in the places seen by each individual, it appears and sets only on the mountaintops. The inconceivable power, neither bound nor liberated, is the power to generate virtue in the mind. Because it inherently exists, it is not bound, and because it does not arise without encountering conditions, it is not liberated. For example, when sesame seeds encounter the condition of being pressed, oil arises, but if they do not encounter it, oil does not arise. All of these are inconceivable because all causes, paths, and results appear in a single mind, beyond comprehension, hence inconceivable, and are the aspect of skillful means. The self-nature is inconceivable; the characteristics, qualities, and powers are all, in ultimate terms, empty of cause, self, and result, like the emptiness of space. Because no cause or result can be found through thought, it is inconceivable, and is the aspect of wisdom. The essence is inconceivable, neither separate nor possessing, meaning that two contradictory qualities cannot exist in one dharma, hence it is not separate. But if examined and analyzed in detail with intelligence, it cannot be found to be established anywhere, hence it does not possess. This is inconceivable because it is beyond thought, it is union. Union does not mean mixing existence and non-existence, nor meditating on one as two, nor that one side exists while the other does not, nor combining two into one. Rather, if sought with the thought of skillful means, everything exists; if sought with the thought of wisdom, everything does not exist. It is merely that it cannot be made into two, therefore it is called non-dual union, which is beyond the realm of all knowledge and expression. In this, from the perspective of the nature of reality, six types of non-existence are taught: because not even a particle of substantial dharma is established in the mind, it is not produced by a cause; because the mind is unconditioned, it is not destroyed by the conditions of conditioned phenomena; because the essence is free from all extremes, it cannot be illustrated by examples; because the mind has no parts to be divided, it has no kin.
