The vast is the Sambhogakaya, the continuous is the Nirmanakaya. These three kayas possess seven branches, namely, the three branches of the Dharmakaya: the essence is devoid of inherent existence, which is the aspect of the realm; there is no obstruction from the nature, which is the aspect of wisdom; and compassion is continuous, which is the aspect of the indivisibility of the realm and wisdom. The three branches of the Sambhogakaya are: inseparable from the mother of self-luminosity, which is the branch of union; the mindstream is satisfied by the great bliss free from defilements, which is the branch of great bliss; and the marks and signs are perfectly complete, which is the branch of perfect enjoyment. The Nirmanakaya is said to possess one branch, which is necessarily filled with great compassion without objectification. Thus, depending on the three types of faculties and diligence, superior, middling, and inferior, one will definitely achieve it in this life or in the bardo, within seven or sixteen lifetimes. This is the certainty of the Vajrayana. There is also the instruction on how to meditate single-pointedly on the completion stage, like the tip of a flame, which should be learned from others.
