May the throat be marked with Āḥ (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आः, Sanskrit Romanization: āḥ, Chinese literal meaning: Ah), and the heart with Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum). Recite this until the three places are blessed. That deity body, visualized in this way, is also empty as it appears, and appears as it is empty. Rest in equipoise on the union of appearance and emptiness, like a reflection appearing in a mirror. Say this and rest for a moment. Again, generate intense devotion to the guru inseparable from the yidam, and from the heart, a garland of mantras like a string of lapis lazuli emerges. It comes out of the mouth and enters the mouths of you all. Visualize it circling clockwise around the Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) syllable in the heart. Recite this mantra. Three times the essence. Place the teacher's rosary on your head and recite the essence one hundred and eight times. Then, meditate on the three aspects of non-objectification as follows. From the Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) syllable and mantra garland in the heart, fierce flames like the fire of the end of time in a terrifying age. Hot, rough, fierce, sharp, powerful, strong, and swift—burning with seven qualities. First, the Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) syllable and mantra garland burn fiercely in the fire. From that, crooked flames fill the inside of your body with redness, and visualize that sins, obscurations, diseases, evil spirits, and habitual tendencies are burned away in an instant. Recite the ten-syllable mantra about seven times. Then, the fire blazes even more. From the nine doors of the body, red flames like the tongues of snakes emerge. Finally, even from all the pores of the skin, red light shines forth. Merging with the outer tent of the fire mountain, visualize that all unfavorable aspects are completely burned away. Recite the ten-syllable mantra about seven times. From that, the great fire blazes even more. Blazing and spreading for the distance of a fathom, an arrow's flight, a shout, and a league, visualize that the cruel enemies of the teachings, and the mistresses of disease and epidemics, are driven to the edge of the ocean and scattered. Recite the ten syllables as before. In this way, visualize all phenomena, internal and external, as mere appearances, not truly established, like illusions. Say: Oṃ Caṇḍa Mahāroṣaṇa Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ཙཎྜ་མ་ཧཱ་རོ་ཥ་ཎ་ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: , Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ caṇḍa mahāroṣaṇa hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Om, Fierce, Great, Wrathful, Hum). Rest for a moment. Rest in equipoise that illusory appearance in the sphere of emptiness, free from elaboration. Say: Phaṭ (Tibetan: ཕཊ, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Chinese literal meaning: Phat), and rest in equipoise. Afterwards, perform the offering of tormas, maṇḍalas, etc., as before. The activities following the ritual are also the same as usual. Kha.
